The irony of it is that the "bad guys" are portrayed as clearly "woke". The writers cannot even figure that out.
Like how the empire used to be all white and then disney started making efforts to diversify it.
Because thats the message Disney wants to send out. Even the evil empire uses pronouns, why cant you.
Cant wait for the articles from the woke media who ignore Disneys futile effort and instead focus on the dead Jedi with headlines like this: "Disney killed non binary character, is the writer far right?"
Wonder how long it takes this time until they attack the fans for not watching it.
Have you seen the comics they think the empire is the good guys....
i bet they think its fine because the character who first refers to the jedi as they/them is actually displeased with that the inquisitors are doing and turns on them. so she's "not really a baddy", even though she allows the inquisitor to murder an entire village bar one child, who will now starve to death.
@@scottishwarrior3547 I guess Disney identifies as the Empire.
At this point, it’s like Disney is actively trying to piss off Star Wars fans with each new product.
However many there are left
yep.. I feel anger towards Disney for this insulting trash.
@@jhoughjr1 Only two kinds : the clueless "must consume brand" normies, or the ideologically aligned not gonna say what, or else my comment is gone.
They've being doing it since 2012 when they bought Star Wars.
I commented on a different video the other day that even normies know Disney has been losing so much money.
A wild shill responded:
"Losing money? They bough Star Wars for like 5 billion and they made 12 billion since then lol maybe actually do your own research instead of repeating stuff people say on UA-cam"
Crazy considering it's the access media that's been reporting about their losses. It's like these shills' "research" is just them reading Disney PR material.
Preferred pronouns is manipulation. It’s compelled speech.
Compelled speech, a form of thought control, being the nature of totalitarians.
The whole concept of a pronoun literally means "in place of a noun" for when you either don't know the actual noun yet, or don't want to keep repeating it.
Just say "No, I'm not going to say that."
I'll call anyone anything they want, but if you dress like a matador, you're not allowed to get angry that I don't automatically know you're a doctor.
I told a friend not to police my speech. I only do that and I have no filter.
Stunning and brave in 1944: jumping out of an airplane to land behind Nazi lines.
Stunning and brave in 2024: demanding someone calls you a plethora of mismatched pronouns.
Just within 1 human life span we've arrived at this nonsense.
By doing the 1st one, you allowed the 2nd one to happen.
2024 is a result of the popularized mythology and "foundation myth" surrounding 1944.
American President Richard Nixon predicted all of this! Seriously, just listen to his old conversations on homosexuality!
If you're fighting on the same side as Stalin, you're not the good guys.
It's crazy starwars USED to take place *_"a long time ago in a galaxy far far away"_* BUT now takes place in modern California. THAT'S CRAZY!
Star Wars has been Californicated.
Maybe LA -- not California. Definitely not Orange County, San Diago, or the Inland Empire. And lots are Hispanic and they really hate the pronoun stuff.

I’m like “is there more than one person”?
Exactly! I hate this when I read a story. Immediately pushes me out of the tale into wondering wtf?
That's when things were normal. Now the question becomes are they just possessed
In their head, perhaps. Borderline personality disorder seems rampant so a little schizophrenia would fit right into the mix.
It is Star Wars. Can always ask, how many brains or minds does that individual have? Or you can ask, is that low and integrity individual trying to be manipulative again?
I'm all for MAGA. (Make Asylums Great Again)
This ain't Star Wars.
Star Wars is DEAD.
Move on, fans.
And hold on to the old stuff, like comic books, videos; whatever you've got.
Agreed.
They bought Star Wars as a Trojan horse. They know parents who grew up with it will want to show their children, and all the transformational entertainment people ever care about is reaching children.
They have. They just have to look over their shoulders to slay the zombie Star Wars that crops up every year.
move on to what? the next IP they ruin?
moving on only leaves their consumers and and shills praising it
we should not just pack up and walk away
we should stand our ground and create new stuff and gatekeep the heck out of it
Using "current day-isms" is a sure fire way to date your media to the here and now and to completely undo it's timeless aspect.
From their point of view, it will be timeless because this is the start of forever: when their ideology begins its glorious and perpetual reign.
Sometimes you can get away with that, like Looney Tunes has managed to last despite their "current day" name drops.
My favorite part of the clip is when the soldiers yelled, "IT'S THEY/THEM TIME!"

Darth Vader: "Search your feelings, you know it to be true."
Luke: "No I mean, it's not possible, there are only two biological sexes!"
Darth Vader: "But I was going to ask you to join me so we could rule the galaxy as none binary parent and none binary child!"

Darth Vader: "Kill you? But that would be toxic masculinity! I was hoping you, as my none binary child would accept my queer none binary pangender identity!"
Luke: "sorry, not happening, dad!"
Darth Vader: "Noooooooooo!"
Pity Luke didn't take the opportunity to ask about his birthing person.
Was this a chest feeding parenting person or a non-chest feeding parenting person?
Likely it would turn out his birthing person couldn't accept Darth Vader's transition from toxically male Jedi Anakin Skywalker, and wouldn't take those testosterone treatments Darth Vader was urging her, i mean him, I mean them, to take.
So with love, compassion and equity, Darth Vader set out to choke their once beloved birthing person to death!
@@khatdubell what! Are you suggesting none chest feeding identifying birthing people could not! Actually nurse a child?
How bigoted of you!
This Luke didn't even find out that his parenting person was also a Minor Attracted Person angry at the world.
It just leads to poor communication. I saw that scene and keep thinking there was more than one Jedi present and keep looking for the other Jedi to attack the Imperials.
Well, this dialog would make a perfect sense, if the Jedi was similar to Tok'ra race from Stargate TV series.
I was really thinking multiple jedi as well. Or at least wondering, since the kid in the episode said "they're in the mountains".
When they got up there eventually I realized there's only one jedi. That's fine. It's not too weird to call one person "them" sometimes.
But when they kept calling the jedi "them", then it stuck out a bit.
I gave the show the benefit of the doubt and assumed just weird dialog for a bit.
But by the end I realized I was probably watching the evil assassins that just murdered the jedi making sure to learn and use the preffered pronouns.
Kinda cringe not gonna lie
Disney loves stunning and brave...and apparently losing money? 🤔
Money is not the goal. Destruction of Western Civilization and Global dependency is the goal. Demonic.

Star trek is like a beloved brother who turned into a homeless crack head and won't go to rehab.
Same with _Star Wars_ . Very sad to see.
I'm not mad, you can barely tell the difference between them. Especially since they went to so much trouble to make _Trek_ look like _Star Wars_ , because the former was 'too cerebral' for Abrams.
@@BNuts d'oh. I obviously mean Star Wars... but yeah.
I used to be annoyed by people who mixed up Star Trek and Star Wars, but now it doesn't even matter. They're both Star Crap!
Speaking of ST, I just rewatched TOS and recently started TNG once again.
Considering the time, TOS was very progressive. The difference is, it was stated in a few comments here and there, and then they just focused on the main story. Oh, yes, of course women had ranks on a star ship. A black man being a doctor? Not even questioned.
Even the highly debated interracial kiss between Kirk and Uhura had nothing to do with her level of pigmentation in the storyline. You could’ve placed any fair skinned woman in that scene, and the meaning would be the same. Kirk was forced to kiss an officer for the perverse entertainment of their captors.
Maybe I’m just seeing it through today’s lenses, but gender politics seems far more shoved our throats now than back then. Enjoy it, or else!

Nice. I just watched that yesterday.
When I saw this scene, at first I was super confused, wondering "They? But I only see one Jedi." And then I realized what they were doing and it really hurt my opinion of the episode.
When an individual wants you to call it they/them ask it how many brains or minds it has.
That's.... stunning and brave to continue "The Message"
My first thought was "oh right, there's more of them, where are the others?" Just have to laugh at this point. Can you imagine Vader going "HOW DO YOU PREFER TO BE ADDRESSED?"
There is no queer fan base to make this sensible and profitable.
They already had a they them character in Fallout. And of course they were not the bad guy. It was like Cappy says, a turd in the punchbowl.
When I first watched this scene and she said, "They," I was like, "Where's the rest of the Jedi? Was there more than one Jedi? Then she kept saying it, and then I was like, "WTF OVER!?!?"
Here we are, confirming that yes, _Star Wars_ is still dead, the corpse is mangled, and covered in poo-doo. No, that's not a new character's name. But it may as well be.
The only character that can legitimately use they them is Gollum.
Perfect, yes, because Gollum had severe mental issues.
"We are Venom" works as well.

They are focusing on quality, Dave. :)
The fact is they are a he! He is the Jedi that they attack.
They're murderers, but at least they're decent enough to respect pronouns. Misgendering is the ultimate sin, after all.

Disney has a death wish.

I remember the first time I ran across They/Them. It was in fan fiction. Figured (because what else could it be?) that the writer was somewhat new to the English language. I wrote a comment correcting them on their grammar. In hindsight they probably responded with some scathing reply about my being a transphobe. I would have had no idea what they were talking about then so just as well I don't check for replies. I was just helping them out on their properly learning a new language. 🤷

Likewise. The Darth Bane and Thrawn trilogies are peak novels, and so is Darth Plagueis. Not to mention, the Republic and Legacy comics by Dark Horse.

X-Men 97 just did the same thing in Episode 9 where Rogue refers to Morph as Them. It flew over my head at first and caught it the second time.
For me Morph hits different. HE could conceivably reproduce in any form and gender. Sire and conceive that is. IT should change each time its form does, the pronoun I mean, but pragmatically just pick one; like he did 27 yeas ago.

When the two Inquisitors talked to the villagers to try and get information on the Jedi, there was a child that told Barris “They’re in the mountains.”
When the kid said this, my first thought was, “Oh, there must be multiple Jedi. Their intel was wrong and this will be a balanced fight between two Inquisitors and multiple Jedi.”
But then we got to the mountain and it turns out there was just one Jedi with they/them pronouns.
I’m not complaining or anything, I’m just saying that it gets confusing when you say “they’re in the mountains” and then it turns out that there’s only one person.
I kept looking around for the other Jedi "they" were supposed to be tracking.

I was genuinely confused while watching this episode. While searching for that Jedi, the inquisitors get the info from a kid who says "they're hiding in the mountains." So i figured there was gonna be a couple of them. And when there was only 1 during the fight I was waiting for the rest of them to show up but nah they/them isnt plural anymore I guess
The scary thing is that quite a lot of young people, even people my generation, who did definitely NOT grow up with that are constantly using singular they.
That was a) rare and for either "generic plural everyman, but still grmamatically technically singular" or sometimes, and rarely, for an unknown person and b) usually seen as wrong.
And then suddenly, you see that explosion of it a certain number of years ago.
To the degree that hosts on the daily wire and such use it more often than just a generic masculine.
This idea that a simple, real characteristic like your biological sex, which only in the most rare of cases is in any way ambiguous (most intersex conditions leave the person still a clear member of one sex or the other just with some atypical traits at most) is an offensive thing to state or refer to you by is rather astonishing.

It was very strange when I first heard it. I wasn’t sure why they were referring to multiple Jedi when there was only one but when they did it again, I immediately knew what was happening. And no it wasn’t some genderless alien, it was a human male that the inquisitors some how knew was non binary without speaking to the Jedi or knowing them.
It's really not worth stopping to look at anymore. But I wouldn't know if you didn't post it. Thanks for that.
same thing happened in discovery season 5 episode 6 when an unconscious person was called as them without previous contact
