Those are called tarp arms for when you want to cover or uncover whatever load your hauling in the dump beds of the truck. so that's what they are called.
legal weight limit in most states is 80,000 lbs between the truck and trailer...in michigan you can run up to 105,000 lbs...so more weight means more axles for weight distrubution
No disrespect but actually we can run up to 11 axles and depending on the axle set up decides what weights we can run this particular set we call a 5x3 which I’m pretty sure allows up to 164,000 lbs! I personally drive what’s called a triple 10 train which has three axles on the lead, two axles on the dolly, and three axles on the pup it would be a bit shorter than this set up but I’m only allowed to pull 154,000 lbs. (no lift axles on a triple ten)
