I've noticed the people in Alaska really band together to help each other out. I'm sure they appreciate you using your reach on youtube to get them back up and running. I just sent them a donation myself and I'm sure many others will as well.

How devastating for such a large family to lose their home and possessions in such an inhospitable place ( weather wise). Beautiful to see the hands of God working immediately to help alleviate the pain and stress of losing everything. I hope and pray their faith in Christ as Saviour and Lord is unshakeable and that many will support them in prayer and in practical ways. Thank you two for being such an example of humanity in action. It's not easy to explain to 5 young ones that material loss is not as bad as it could be. At this point its probably very scary to them and replacement of some creature comforts is probably needed asap. Let us share this need far and wide and support the Go Fund Me also. I'll have to wait for my pension to come in on Thursday to make a donation. Please keep us apprised of the onging situation, and share hugs with them all from here in Aussie. Let them know they're in our prayers. As are those reaching out and being the hands of help that we can't be. Sending abundant love & prayers for all who need them. 🇦🇺🤗🙏💞✝️👍👌✌️👏🇺🇸

If you don't plan to insure cabin, then build it by yourself, not very complex, something you can rebuilt in a year or two, keep costs low.
Also secondary property with smal hunting cabin can serve also as an emergency shelter. Or have a workshop with livable area, close to main cabin, but not too close to avoid fire exchange.
Also split nesessities between structures/properties and have an emergency cache with clothes/food/guns/ammo/cash sealed and put somewhere to store (bury, put to storage, etc).
