Definitely would prefer the salt rim, that's what a Margarita is all about. Also if you can't find the white cranberry juice , I would suggest a white grape as opposed to the apple, I think it would be closer in flavor to the cran.
I never knew a white cranberry existed and I'm surprised noone has made comments about this being perfect for Snowflakes. I know a lot of people who are going to love this as the perfect Christmas starter.
Sounds good, will try. Since the White Cranberry Juice is predominately White grape juice and then cranberry, it makes sense that, really any sweet clear fruit juice would work for the flavor profile. I plan to try it with grape juice from my champagne grape vines and shake it with cranberries
Made these over the holidays and they were a hit. Couldn't find white cranberry juice. Used white cran/peach instead. Sugar on the rim and a pinch of coarse kosher salt in the drink. I'm not a foo foo drink kind of guy, but I drank several and enjoyed every one. Thank you, Dave.
I recently made a margarita with red cranberry syrup that I made myself (so that it is ONLY cranberry, unlike cranberry cocktail) and included a little Grand Marnier as well. It tasted wonderful and who don't love a red cocktail, especially in the holiday season?
Every time I make a Margarita I rim the glass with a salt and sugar mix. My daughter had a cocktail recipe several years ago for Christmas (the first Christmas in her new apartment) that was 1/2 cranberry juice & 1/2 orange juice with ginger ale and champagne. She gave me a bottle of Wild Turkey 101 and we used some for 1 glass (she nor her then boyfriend are Bourbon drinkers). It was a good cocktail and I made it at home but substituted White Cranberry juice and it was much better in my opinion.
I don't do a salt rim because my hypertension doc would have a heart attack, but I love your idea of a pinch of salt IN the margarita; as you suggest, I think it would bring up and balance the flavors. Definitely going to try that!
wonderful ! i would mix some salt into castor suger .....give it both on the rim or make the rim half pink salt half castor sugar 😲😄delicious, thank you, cheers to xmas and a happy new year !
Great video. Thank you. My group of “drinkers “ are all different when it comes to salt/sugar rims. No matter what kind of margarita. They’re also individually particular of substituting lemon juice for lime juice or vice versus, I like to stick to what the drink calls for my self.
I have a new margarita recipe. I call it the Rum Margarita. Its basically the same as a margarita but just changes a few ingredients. ¾ to 1 ounce of lime juice (Depending on the flavor of the lime) 1 ounce of simple syrup 2 ounces of rum Combine with ice and shake. Strain into chilled coupe glass and garnish with lime. The great thing about this recipe is that you can make this margarita with any type of rum and you dont need to buy orange liqueur. And if you like the taste of daiquiris, then you are gonna love this margarita.
White Cranberry juice is sweeter than regular Cranberry juice. That's why I suggest if you are able to get it, I would suggest a clear apple juice. They are about the same sweetness.

Hi Eric, the white grape juice is a great idea and will be close for sure.

That sound fantastic.
Try switching out the agave for a 1:1 Rosemary simple syrup. Very good. garish with fresh cranberries and a sprig of fresh rosemary
That sounds really good.
This works great with a cran-cherry or our favorite cran-black cherry. Worked well as a summer drink with cran-watermelon too!
I like your thinking, it's very adaptable.

I used simple syrup, olmega tequila and clear apple juice. That was absolutely delicious. Thank you for recipe.
That sounds great, I think the apple juice really adds a festive touch!

Hi Cecil, that is a great idea for the rim!
Happy Holidays Dave. Great looking Margarita. Though every day is a good day for a Margarita. Cheers!
Hi PJ, this is a great Margarita. Happy Holidays to you as well.
I would do a salt rim. Nice looking drink. Have a great week.
Thanks' you too Ulgarth!
I will definitely try this cocktail and will trust you on sugar rim vs salt rim. I really enjoy your channel and have learned a lot about spirits.☮️♥️

A crowd pleaser drink!
It is definitely that Stephane :)
Id salt and sugar combo the rim.

Ok. I'm making this.

@boozeontherocks I MAD IT!!😃Chefs Kiss. A wonderful Holiday Drink. Added salt. Great addition. 😋 Merry Christmas 2 U. And blessings to follow.
Beautiful 💛💫💚 new sub
Thank you so much Amanda :)
Ah, white cranberry juice! One of the juices that's okay to drink prior to a colonoscopy because it is NOT red! (But do check with your GI doc.)
That is good advice!
Didn't know white cran. existed. Then I found it at a store that used to have Demerara sugar. The ups and downs of being a fancy alcoholic.😂
Very True.
Great job David.. I’m going to make this!
Thank you, let me know how it turns out for you.
I use sugar AND salt for the rim!

Look s delicious, how about sugar and salt rim.
Hi Steven, that would work Really well.
What section at store do you get agave in?
You can usually find it in the sugar/syrup isle.
Yeah white cranberry juice is produced exclusively on the moon, I understand there have been delivery problems this year due to NASA budget cuts.
Hi Derek, That is true.
I like mixing salt and sugar on the rim but that’s just me!!!
Me too, I do half & half
I think that would be really delicious!
Season the drink, garnish the glass.
Great advice!
And the difference between white cranberry juice and the ordinary cranberryjuice is .....????
White Cranberry juice is sweeter than regular Cranberry juice. That's why I suggest if you are able to get it, I would suggest a clear apple juice. They are about the same sweetness.
Goog looking drink…Olmeca was one of the first tequilas to be imported to the USA….1967.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it.
The name is wrong is call the gen_z margarita 😅😅😅😅
That is funny :)
Too long for this cocktail.
It’s a holiday drink, it needs to be enjoyed slowly.
Snowflake 😂
Yes Derrick, I am :)
@@boozeontherocks You can't be a Snowflake. You're from the "Great State of Canada" aren't you???
