Juan Gabriel was in Acapulco , Guerrero Mexico in December 27th 1974 when he received the news his mother had passed away. It’s about the excruciating pain one feels with losing a mother & how difficult it is having to live without one.
Juan Gabriel is Mexico’s greatest artist. The song is titled “Eternal Love” and he wrote it to honor his mother when she passed away. It’s a song about longing for that someone to still be alive but finding comfort that it is an eternal love and that one day you’ll be together again. This song has become a tradition to play at every dearly beloved’s funeral.
