Manoj, what about people who switch from other domain like sales operations to product management with 5 years of experience, will the experience counts..whether they can apply for product manager position or APM position
It depends, Ravi. If you are switching to a company in the same domain (for example, if you were in Sales in SaaS and you can directly become a product manager in a SaaS company), but if you enter a new industry, you should start from a junior role, i.e., APM. Position varies based on the stage of the company.

Great video bruh, I was literally thinking about this topic.... 😱👍🏻 What's your view on comparison of the Developer and PM salaries? That can also be a great topic for another video?
Great video🤩 Let me ask you a question...say a person is having some 4.6 to 5 yrs of experience into IT field let's assume he is an automation engineer..and now with a good interest into PM role he wants to switch his tech/career... What can be the expected salary here..May be you can answer this in INR & $ currency.... Thankyou in advance!😁 Keep rocking 🤘
Sure It depends a lot and there are 2 variables 1) Stage of company 2) Domain Knowledge person has about the business If it is a early stage company and the person has good knowledge about business and problem solving skills they can become a senior product manager Otherwise they have to join as a APM or PM On how much they will earn I have mentioned in video
