People are giving me lots of crap because I am saying the same thing. There is no place with the walkability, livability, safety and affordability. Im a guy with a 20 year thai elite visa, so I obviously love Thailand…However, there is no place in Thailand that has BGCs level of livability.

Bro, your prose is quite well-crafted. I don't often get this impression from foreign vloggers. (Not that I tune in to foreign vloggers mostly for their lingual content. It's just really an incidental observation.) The only other guy that I had this impression with was that Aussie food vlogger, Marshall Butters...I stayed in BGC for some 6-7 years around 8 years ago. Been living here in McKinley Hill since. Yup, BGC could be expensive for regular folks but then I would also say that it isn't necessarily so (as far as dining is concerned). There are a whole lot of places there which are relatively "affordable" such as the regular fast food places (Jollibee, McDonalds, KFC, etc.) They have these joints at SM Aura too (probably the classiest of the SM stores, where during the so-called Ber months, the Christmas decors are just delightful.) Then, there are affordable non-fastfood joints too, like Max's Fried Chicken, JT's Manukan, etc. I know that you're aware of these but I'm just stating it for the benefit of those who've generalized that BGC is only (mostly) for rich people. And well, if one's really tight on the budget, they could just probably get a hotdog sandwich, soda and even coffee from any of those convenient stores, and just chill out on the numerous benches around the area, probably while music is playin' on their mobile phones - just enjoy the vibe and atmosphere...Anyway, I'm glad you're enjoying the place...and the people. (On the side, I'm also monitoring the Trump - Harris development. I'm a solid Pinoy but the fact is, political developments in the US generally affects the globe. I remember a line from that detective series Miami Vice eons ago: "When America catches cold, the world sneezes.") PEACE.
Greetings from Canada. I will be travelling to Thailand next month with my wife to visit my daughter in Bangkok who is finishing her university requirements (teaching English). I say it again... my daughter is teaching English as part of her university requirement, and she choose Thailand to complete it. Why not do it in the Philippines where we were originally from (my daughter was born in Canada)? Well, no because most if not all Filipinos can speak English in various degrees/levels. Bottom line, any Filipino can have a conversational English communication with any foreigner. My daughter already adjusted and she's using an app to translate but speaking with the locals there is a challenging. I am happy for you that you are finding the Philippines to be a good place for a second home. I, myself, at this point will not consider moving back for a different reason but all I can say is, stay safe there. Any country is dangerous if you don't know where you're going or who you are hanging out with. Just stay alert and don't let your guard down. More power to your channel.
There's a vlogger who has lived in many parts of the world including Bangkok but his conclusion is BGC is the best place to stay. There's a modern place in Bangkok but very small. 😊
I stayed in Singapore for 6 months and I would say there is some urban similarities but I think BGC has more features. The Venice is pretty good there. Also, the friendliness of the locals is hard to forget and you would noticed there are more children or younger generations. The malls in the Philippines is huge and so much variety...since Manila is so big-- its not a fair comparison. I would say each has its own features but it all boils down to one persons choosing...and that is yourself!
Hi Brain good job keep doing it the unique of the rest of Asia is pPhilippines on Asia speaking English . You can communicate easily right .that’s the reason .
I’ve visited Bangkok many times, as well as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Manila. Of these, Manila was the most challenging. However, I really enjoyed the other cities, and BGC reminds me a lot of the major cities I've visited. In Japan, I’ve been to Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, and Nagoya, and I absolutely loved how clean those cities are. And why not? If you’re happy there, there’s no reason not to enjoy it.
Howdy Neighboor! (from Bellagio Tower 3) it does require a certain financial threshold to live here in BGC but it's hard to put a price on safety and convenience...

If their bell ring you have to stop no matter where you are.I think they called The Bong. I like my country lots of freedom. The Philippines. Thanks Brian.
@Brian The Lion may i suggest you to take adventures in islands, trying authentic filipino dishes and interact with the locals for you to grow your subscriber's community and also for more views. We like to watch vloggers interacting not just narrating your experience in your videos. Dont be shy at your own camera, 🤣 we want to see you thru your videos. Yeah. Singapore is what Disneyland's Tomorrowland wishes it was. You literally can go around at night and never experience danger. The high tech and the garden aesthetic go together. But it costs a lot. And you will not feel the same friendliness among the locals the way you will here. Filipinos are the emotional polar opposite of Singaporeans and Japanese, that's why. BGC is the better, more chill version. Given a choice, yup, BGC is the sheltered sanctuary you should be living in. It's got everything and you can just walk. But of you want realness and heart, you're going to have to spend time in places like Quezon City Circle and Binondo. Maybe even Divisoria and the whole of Quiapo, if you get tired of the pristine bubble. Or you can befriend a local food blogger or chef and tag along wherever he goes throughout the archipelago. (Example: Erwan Heussaf.) It's one of the best ways to experience the high to humble ends of the spectrum of Filipino life.
Smile, laugh, if you are happy then you've found your home! You will live longer if you are happy most of the time! Life is too short, enjoy it while you can. Thank you God I am alive today! God bless you all!

No matter what world know we are Poorest Country, thy Think only, but if you Go I think you don't want to Leave anymore 😂😂😂😂 Because the Truth We are So Rich so many Think Not by Money But Traditional Beautiful place Every Religion Or Island We Rich by Love Not Money.. always Remember if have Poor in our Country is only 10% 40% is in Middle Class Ang 50% so Rich so Do you Think we are Poor County 🇵🇭💪 No!
My foreign students from Japan, China, Taiwan, Vietnam and other countries who live for months in Ph when we asked them if they think Philippines is a poor country? They all said No. We asked why and they said, we cant see poor people and they live happily. They buy things and families eat in restaurants. So there 😊 maybe because our city is better economically so to speak. 😊
To each his own. I've been living inside my house since the pandemic and never came out since then. Good thing my company retained our WFH arrangement. The furthest I reached was inside the perimeter of our property, everything is being delivered so there's really no reason to go outside. 4 yrs now and I still like it. It suits me being an introvert. So yeah, to each his own.
If you want to live in a cocoon, and don't have a conscience, please go ahead and tell yourself that BGC is heaven... but can you honestly live with yourself when you know that just outside Taguig and BGC you don't have to go very far to see homeless families that out of desperation have opportunistically flocked into Manila driven by empty stomach desperation and that are living right on the curb of the street... this you will NEVER experience anywhere in Thailand... you can go to ANY part of Thailand and you will see why and how Thailand is a way more functioning and advanced country and are way less corrupt. You really also have to look very hard to find shanty towns, as the government have for a long time worked hard to give everyone proper housing. All of Bangkok is accessible to everyone and the prices compared to BGC are simply unbeatable. So would I want to live in a slightly small oasis (BGC) within a somewhat dysfunctional city(Manila) or would I want to live in a city where you can see and have elements of what you have in BGC. all over the city?(Bangkok) and this for a fraction of the BGC cost of living? and where ANY part of the city feels super safe 24/7... the choice is easy.
Blame the government not Brian. Brian loves BGC. whats your problem? To each his own. If you love Thailand stay there. Not anywhere is safe even in Thailand. I heard stories in Thailand about attempted kidnapping of girls and rape. To each his own.
It was much better there before all of the UA-cam vloggers set up shop and blew the lid off it. I get it's how you all make money and it's your business to create the buzz but the oversaturation of ex-pats is getting frustrating. Can you guys go to another country for a bit and talk it up?

Can you guys go to another country for a bit and talk it up?
try Philippines
Yes in Europe much better
LOL, you act like you are the first to discover the place. Real guys have been venturing there since before your parents were even born.
Are you a Christian?
are you paying a kid to roam around bgc? 🤣
Glad that you're a Republican.
