What you said is true mate, I am from the Philippines but on a real tropical island down south, Manila is a place like where if you are a local it’s a dog eat dog before, but now most people have an opportunity never imagined to happen. That is the reason I migrated to one of the five eyes to seek the future of my boys. Two of them already settled down and happy to where they are now. For me and my wife it will be a another chapter for us what’s next before settling down on permanent address 😂 but you are take a leap of faith to whatever you want to do with your life it’s worth it. Hey Brian I'd like to pose a challenge to you. I know you're in love with BGC, and I'm happy for you. But BGC is not Philippines. I'm sure many foreigners can relate to your vlogs, but I doubt the locals, if any , can. I think you mentioned on one of your previous videos that you pay "only" $650/month for your condo. That’s about P36,000, depending on the exchange rate for the day. The average teacher pay in the Philippines is P30,000/month, for a nurse it's around P40,000 and a policeman, P50,000. So according to those numbers, they can't afford your condo, not to mention your other expenses. My challenge for you is to get out of your comfort zone and go live in the province. There are many choices just outside Manila. I'm from Paete, Laguna, about 2 hours south of you. Laguna is a beautiful province, but it's 3rd world. In my little town there are still homes with no indoor plumbing. They use big bucket of water to flush their toilet, if they have a toilet. Very few houses have shower. We use what call "tabo". I'm sure you've heard of it. We don’t have a mall, no fancy restaurants or bars. No movie theater. We have frequent "brownouts", that's when the electricity shuts off with no warning. It makes for a very uncomfortable and inconvenient day or evening. And sometimes, water, on rare occasions, are not available either. So that's my challenge to you. Go live in the provinces, any of them, even for 1 week, let's see how long you last, and see if you still think it's paradise.

What international investor are you talking about? Most, IF NOT ALL of these buildings are owned by LOCALS. Of course, there's a few foreign investments as with all other countries around the world. Just so you know, foreigners are not allowed to be in construction business in the Philippines until just a few years back. 😊

In fact, I think he’s intentionally saying it more often to troll arrogant Americans who believe the “greatest nation on earth” garbage we’re fed by our government propaganda … er, I mean … “education” system almost from birth. While it is a human condition to project our knowledge and experiences onto others, my fellow Americans are exceedingly good at thinking we know everything because we know what little we know. We tend to have an unjustified superiority complex that has got to be repulsive to the rest of the world. I sincerely believe Brian is making fun of that, calling it out, and rubbing it in our faces. But he does it in such a matter of fact, almost innocent way, that it doesn’t even seem passive-aggressive, much less confrontational. ALL LIES. I have ben to manila and bgc. BGC is far out of the reach of many filipinos they cant afford. There are many many areas in stark poverty all over manila and philippines. BGC represents just a small portion.
