I try to go to as many practices as i can and wrestle as much as possible but during the summer i feel like i still have a lot of free time i want to dedicate to improving my wrestling. Anything you would recommend doing alone. I would like to be a state champ, but i started wrestling very late in 10th grade. All advice is appreciated, thank you.
Trail running in the mountains/hills is great if possible. Studying technique. Watching live wrestling, at all different experience levels. Reading about the beliefs of great leaders and winners.
Looked up to: Ben askren, Jesse Jantzen, Cael Sanderson, Gene mills. Learned directly from: Chris Edmunds, Tom Ryan, Artie Weidler, and a lot of other great coaches.
love your videos, they've taken me a long way.

I have never wrestled but I would like to try it
What wrestler(s) did you look up to/follow when you were wrestling (i.e. Who influenced your style the most)?

This advice should go to all combat sports. You want to be the best? Study the best
Any more tips please because I am a freshmen and it is my first year, my goal is to be a state champ?
Watch lots of technique and matches, wrestle a lot, and most importantly, learn how to drill like the best.
