Game changer ladders! I have the 6 & 10ft. Little tip to help get the rubber feet on,put them in warm/hot water for a while first to soften them up and then they go on a lot easier 👍🏼
I really love them ! Do you put them both on top of the van ? Nice tip! I’ll definitely do that then as I have just had them sitting in the back of the van 😂
Great video 👍. A suggestion on the chain connection on the ladder. I've seen fellas run the chain through a metal tube so that the ladder stays positioned while you pick it up and move it along the tree line. The tube keeps the chain rigid as you just pick up the whole ladder and walk forward. It'll save you time. The tube is just long enough that the connection hook is outside the tube.
I nearly bought a Henchman ladder. They look like a great peice of kit, unfortunately, I needed a 10ft ladder, and as they don't collapse, they were too big for my Nissan NV200. I opted for a Little Giant ladder with leveling legs. It is quite heavy, but it is extremely stable!
what would you charge to trim those trees up? i got a customer looking a few trees trimmed, and have no idea what to charge for it,and main question would you go for 10ft tripod instead of 8?
Nice steps, smooth lines mate👍 when I do a 'hacked' hedge on the tops I leave lower growth to grow up and cover it. I currently have one infested with conifer mite on the bottom. Gonna have to cut the dead out and re plant seedlings to fill the gaps. Pain in the...... aye! 🤣
Really can be a nightmare ! But hopefully after the next couple of visits it will look a lot better ! Was a killer leaving that far side 😂. Ahh bugger ! It’s a shame when you can put a lot into a well kept hedge, do you apply treatments ??
@@JayRockGroundsMaintenance Ideally need a spray twice a year, once in spring then end of summer, hard to get hold of the stuff that does the job these days. I used to use daconil, from the states from 'southern agriculture' dunno if allowed to import anymore. Certainly cheaper than cutting out and planting seedlings to fill the gaps for sure. I think I mentioned the other problem could be spider mite. Again a systemic twice a year should sort it, can buy that stuff here like. Conifers rarely have fungal problems so I never spray for that👍

8ft fully extended? Or like 8 foot something when they are extended, I have a l2 transit 64 plate I want to buy the biggest set that will fit in the back
Great video and not as boring as a review in my opinion. Good luck to you son, get some council contracts if you haven't already then watch your earnings and stability increase massively. That’s awesome pal, I was toying between the 6 and 10 but the 10ft would have to go on the roof and 6 just wouldn’t get enough of the jobs done, hopefully between these two that will cover most of my jobs 😄. You’ll love the 10s I’m sure !
@@JayRockGroundsMaintenance 6ft started off fine for me but as I got more customers I could see that even with all legs fully extended it was still a touch too short. 8ft may be fine for me but will go belts and braces and get 10ft just to be sure. @@AnthonyHitmanDarts fair one ! To be honest I probably would have made the same decision if it couldn’t fit in the van, the fact it just goes made my decision for me 😂

I think a 10ft would give you a good gap to get into the bigger stuff as well as it isn’t too big to be getting around, the 12-16 ones would be great but depends how often you need a ladder that size
Awesome ! I bet the 12 comes in handy with a good few hedges too! I buy them from Revolution race, these are the GP range, roughly £79 but they quite often do 15-20% sales - couldn’t recommend them enough, I have 3 pairs 😂
@@JayRockGroundsMaintenance many thanks , the 12 foot ones do not get used as much as the 8 feet ones , but they are really good for taller hedges , not sure if I would want to use any bigger ones to be honest mate . I’m in Norwich Norfolk , grass is still growing here !!! Cheers Andrew

They really are - I keep forgetting how light they are as well until I pick them Werner ones up again 😂. Well worth the money for sure.
Thanks Jay. Looking at a henchman myself, thanks for the advice on the 8ft. Andy

Good job. The rubber feet are a pain to fit, the sharp corners on the ladder feet eat through the rubber after a couple of uses anyway.
