"Hidden Track" is played after "K Car," but is heard after about 4 minutes of silence.
My dad showed me this when I think I was in middle school and being the rebel I was hated it. Was disgusted with the fact it sounded like it had anything to do with Christian music (it was all he ever played at the time). Now looking back, I still remember all the words and my heart jumps anytime ANY of these songs are heard. :) love ya Dad! More than you really know.
I used to play this album non-stop as a kid....it was (and is) one of my favorites
I remember them playing at a church in Madison, OH. They gave me an EP with 3 songs on it... Hello McFly, Staples, and K Car. They threw me a drumstick, but I was so young that I thought the drummer dropped it...... so I threw it back to him. He caught it and threw it back into the crowd..
Classic fail story.
oof, but sad cute
i got that in a mailer when i worked for the local tv station. it was great and amazing
These were the glory days.
weren't they though? i stopped being their fan after they crossed over to the secular market. :( Mmhmm just didn't sound right. I just heard one of their old songs in a coffee shop though, and now i'm like, "why don't i go listen to their new stuff?" which became, "why don't i listen to their entire discography this week, starting from the beginning?" :p
Forever my favorite band
I miss this kind of music
99
i never heard of this album from relient k. its good!!! I wish I can see them play live someday!!!!
12:39 - Softer To Me; after all these years, still one of favorites from them.
Same. I came here just for it
This album saved my life ✝️
"Softer to me" is just... AMAZING. I MISS THIS MUSIC!!! ) - :
Charles in Charge...loved that song.
My first spin of this album top to bottom!!!
I've been playing the Nancy Drew computer games and started thinking of this song yesterday and was singing it while playing, I had to listen to it again!! :D
Just listened to their new album....ugh.....I had to go back to this one. :)
I see so many people complaining about Relient K's new album. I have been listening to Relient K for years and at I didn't like their new stuff but then it started to grow on me. it's not the Relient K that I grew up with but that doesn't mean its not good. It's just
different.
very true, I think people who are shading them are just trying to use the band to hold on to a past that is, gone. Besides, if Relient K still sounded like they did on Mmmhmm or Five Score, the same people would be complaining that the band is stuck in the past and trying to reproduce their old magic.
I haven't listened to the full album but from what I heard it I think it's fair to say it's not punk rock. Then again the music on their most recent album isn't for me it's for Freshman in highschool who are seventeen years younger than me .
good times ...
Couldnt care less that theyre christian. Regardless of their religion they made some decent punk songs up until 2003. Pressing on and college kids are both awesome punk songs i wish they made more music like that.
''Two lefts don't make a right but three do'' is such an underrated album.
+ayylien 1 agreed its terrific
I can't stop staring at the un-capitalized 'a' in Anchorage. One of the only proper nouns in their titles and it's the only one not capitalized...
found the homeschooler lol
Collapsible Lung is, in my opinion, Relient K's best album. It's all about Matt's time after his fiancee left him. The album is all dysfunctional and shallow, because that's how he was. Go read Stphen Shutters customer review on Amazon for the Album. I looked at the album in a whole new light.
this is RK!!!
don´t RK (collapsible lung).
The actual song "Collapsible Lung" is fine, the rest of the album is not really RK. But I mean that's the entire point of the album: RK had drifted too far from their roots and had fallen off track. That's why they're doing an Mmhmm tour right now.
K Car
their music is can be pretty catchy
The hidden track is the only song worth listening to in my opinion
+Lauren Sabino You have an odd taste in music then, but whatever floats your goat.
+SamLoser2 ??
Lauren Sabino I get you are asking me a question, perhaps even two, but I'm afraid I can't infer what those questions are.
+SamLoser2 1) how do you know my music taste is "odd"?
2) why do you think it's "odd"?
Well the hidden track has a very unusual sound compared not only to the rest of the album, but most poplar music that "tops the charts" these days, so to speak. The appeal of said hidden track notwithstanding, you went so far as to say it's the only thing worth hearing on the whole album. So to see the appeal in such an unusual musical piece, yet see none whatsoever in the rest, I call very unusual indeed.
2020 *. * 🇨🇴
ํํYeah !
Tell me about it. 'Collapsible Lung' was SO disappointing (especially "That's My Jam").
Makes me all the more glad I have my copies of 'Mmhmm', 'Two Lefts Don't Make A Right', and 'The Anatomy Of The Tongue In Cheek' to listen to.
:)
christian Blink-182? :D
Hawk Nelson was also the Christian Blink 182 before Jason left
don't you guys think "hidden track" is a bit strange? with the beggining and all...
IT'S AMAZING
I liked boomerang, PTL and the chorus to disaster. Mainly boomerang. I actually don't really like the anatomy of cheek in tongue or relient k. Too many harmonies to be far from ska. I'm not into ska XD. But I LOVED the album with the sunflowers on it that I have currently forgotten *facepalm* hardcore stuff ya know? But yeah its pretty good. Just stop hating on collapsable lung. It wasn't that terrible! Apart from Gloria XD
What's the name of the hidden track?
To everyone in this comment section...wanna be friends? :)
I, I wrote a song about the Browns.....
These guys rock. Im glad they believe in god!!
Mmhmm! That's the album! Lol fail Ik
who does the softer to me screams? thiessen?
Think it was their drummer at the time (who only played on this album) Stephen Cushman
Wow, I kind of feel like the second track is shoving some type of propaganda down my throat. Which is weird because I listened to this album a lot when I was only like 9. I grew up in a Christian home. And I always found that song amusing. Now though,13 years later... it almost creeps me out.
That song is a joke and not meant to be taken seriously
Leviathan I Its a subliminal message.
Galiant2010 marylin manson is propaganda
you have to remember what was going on at the time too, though. it was all, "Marylyn Manson is the devil and caused those kids to commit the Columbine shooting!" (or was that the year after this album?), and, "Video games promote violence!"
This isn't Rage Against the Machine
