Gears 5 plays better technically but the soul was lost somewhere in the process when TC replaced the locust. The characters, world design, and the story/tone of the game was the best in gow 2 imo

IMO the problem it’s the focus of the games now are in the skill of individual player, and faster gameplay, in old gears it was more clunky but you need to comunícate, coordinate and move with your teammates, you cannot go running trying to chunk everybody.
I prefer gears 3 movement and gnasher but otherwise gears 2 is peak gears. Especially campaign
Gears 5 is boring and bland even from a multiplayer standpoint. It’s WAY harder to be good at 2 than it is to be good at 5.

To be fair, slaughtems is more crazy with the movement, is not an Avexy's but has a very smooth feeling, Icy I feel, is more calculated with all his plays, but still, both are amazing

This game is absolutely horrendous balance wise. It’s people hard aiming for their life with the gnasher 15 meters away from eachother.

those are bots you not getting away with hard aiming against good players i play this every day and be shitting on the kids he’s playing against in this video. pop shotting has the same effect as hard aiming in gears 2. gears 2 had a longer life cycle than gow4 or 5 wish they had 😂 these games got played for years in the state theyre in while gow4 and 5 died instantly. there’s reasons people still play the older gears

@@ItsRoyce023 That's one of the reasons why people have nostalgic memories of this game. It was so broken, so slow and the players were so bad that the tuning seemed better than it was. If people played like they play now then most people would hate it and ask for nerfs. They'll find out when that collection comes out.

This is the game that pushed the 360s limits making Microsoft put a bigger cpu which then in turn beat the ps3 so gears of war basically made the 360 which then launched everything else, the psychics in this game are pretty damn impressive and the whole geometrical destruction system, Icy you should watch the making of gears of war 2 behind the scenes and make a lil video about the things you didn’t know cuz it’s great to hear the devs talk about these gems

I’ve been running gears 2 for about a month now on my series X, there’s something you have to change in the Xbox 360 settings when it’s in the gears 2 game to make it less “clunky”. Wouldn’t mind running games with you if interested! Lmk I’m a sweaty on gears 2 aha

Remaster the first three Gears of War games, that's all we need to hold us off until gears 6 comes out, and this would attract new players to the franchise. I love how each gears game feels distinctly different from the other. Gears 3 is my personal favorite, I like the buttery smooth movement, the maps and the feel of the Gnasher. Now we all know these games aren't perfect. Don't get me started on the retro lancer and sawed off shotgun, but with a redo this gives them the opportunity to tweak and improve these games to make them even better

They need to bring back Wingman and Guardian as some primary game modes in the next gears, a decent storyline that isn't a social justice statement with an annoying ass useless "Kait" as the lead protagonist, and a complete game on launch day or else I'm giving up on the franchise. It'd be so interesting to have competitive Wingman and Guardian in the rotations for MLG and pro matches. Back to that boof Gears 5 storyline though, all Kait does is whine the whole time along with everyone else apart of the campaign. Bring back the gritty and raw charisma of how Baird, Dom, Cole, and Marcus were in the first two games. Drop the corny ass emotes, drop the shitty characters or make them more likeable and act like someone you'd actually wanna play a whole campaign with, and restore the original glory to the game.
i been gave up on this franchise all i play is either gears 2 or 3. don’t get me wrong i be folding kids on 5 but shits dead. i have absolutely zero faith in the coalition making another good gears game. just hope they remaster the trilogy and give it the same treatment they gave UE

They definitely need to make a Gears of War remastered collection
waste of time, resource and money for such smaller player base, it is unreasonable to remaster any gears at this point. they should focus on keeping legacy game modes on gears 6 and adding new style of gaming and new modes to attract new generation of gamers. Otherwise Gears will be in debt and liability to MS, consequently lead to termination of coalition and this entire gears franchise.

There is a reason Coalition can no longer sponsored gears pro league anymore, their budget has been cut dry and gears 6 ain't coming anytime soon. You must be delusional to think they will actually invest in gears remaster for less than 5K active user base and these numbers are shrinking each day.

You know Nic, you and the other gears pros/ content creators should get with even bigger content creators that's played and loved gears 2 and 3 and all get together to make a massive survey on if the Xbox and pc fans would like to see gears 2 and 3 remade more then they want to see gears 6. And send it directly to Phil Spencer. Not TC. TC does not listen to fans because TC knows the first three gears games were better and they obviously didn't make them. They would be embarrassed that gears 2 and 3 remade would outsell and would be more played and keep a gears community longer then their gears 4 and 5 crap they made. As I said. Send that massive survey right to Phil Spencer, or have someone who works for Microsoft do it. That's EXACTLY how fans got Capcom to remake resident evil 2 and 3 and now 4. Because Capcom president understood their best games remade would get fans excited. Phil Spencer has his head up his butt and doesn't know how many gears heads would come back to gears 2 and 3 if remade and people can go back and forth between the two games. Gears 2 is a perfect gears if you tweak a few minor things. Updated graphics, frame rate 60 or higher, server based multiplayer (no more host) make the characters a little less heavy so they run faster (but don't turn it into 5 where it's wall bounce bs everywhere. Keep the sliding how it it because it was better and more realistic in 2) and reduce the gnasher a tiny tiny tiny bit of damage at far distance. Don't tweak anything else. Gears 2 had the best multiplayer maps and best campaign and most skill to play. Gears 3 would take too long to get into on the tweaks. Like double barrel,retro, etc etc but do that bro. Only you guys have the influence to get that done.
