I believe I have 2 of these (my stuff is in storage atm).
I love how you can tune it to the extreme. Tuning it all the way down makes it sound incredibly gritty and huge! It's a nightmare to use without a manual though.

Have you tried it with drum pads?

Extremely underrated. I've still got mine and even occasionally use it. Turn down the overall pitch as demonstrated here and it starts to sound like an industrial drumset from hell. Oh, and it is fully programmable to, although you need an overlay sheet and / or the user guide to figure that all out.

Yes! Perfect for experimenting/sound design but also studio use. (I'ver used via midi the most)

@@hithereitsme7090 So you used it as a drum expander? I wanted to do that as well when I got my first workstation with a multitrack sequencer. It did however not work properly because some notes would get "swallowed". At the time I thought it was a software bug in the CX5 but if your's worked properly that way something else must have been wrong.

@@marcbrasse747 that's true, on the drum pads its only possible to play it monophonic. But via midi you can play multiple notes and they're the notes are not swallowed.

@@hithereitsme7090 Well, I tried to drive it from my Roland W30's sequencer and notes did disappear. It might be a very minor problem though. Everything else worked perfectly though. If you want you can downlaod my first album, on which it is the main drum source, here: www.brassee.com/prog-art-rock.html#sand

Hi, I have one of these and love the sound to bits.. I can't work out how to use it completely and have only ever been able to find a German manual. Does anyone have an English version by any chance?

I’m looking for someone with a bit of knowledge on these? I’ve just bought one and i don’t believe its working properly. As said in previous comments i can only find the German manual. Any help appreciated!

      Hi,
I have an idea but it’s kind of abstract. Maybe there is an app where you can scan a text (like the German manual) and it will translate it in english? It a bit of a workaround but it might help.
      Cheers!
