Takeaways from this game as an LSU fan:
Expect another great offensive season from LSU with Garrett Nussmeier at the helm
This defense has a lot to figure out to put it nicely...
Some of the younger defenders started to play well as the game went along. LSUs defense probably won't be very good this year but in the future it could be.
I agree but we also have competent defensive coaches finally in Baker and Raymond. I think the defense will make some big strides this season
@@MillionDollarMulletttthankyou, someone gets it .
The talent behind them looks damn good. Those are the guys we've picked up in the last 2 classes.
Also, if Nuss gets a first round grade, he's gone. I think Colin Hurley could start as a redshirt freshman.
If we do tackling drills and have a better defensive scheme we will solve more than half of our defense’s problems from last season. That D created 3rd and long repeatedly and then we dropped 8 men in coverage instead of blitzing?! Our D-line was easily doubled and could not pressure the qbs. SEC qbs will pick apart (or run up/down the field like Milroe) any defense when there is no pressure.
I don’t like Garrett I want Collin to start
We still got good defense coaches and new players coming in it’s only the SPRING we have a whole season to figure it out
Hurley looks really good
Expect lsus offense to be explosive again with nussmeier at QB
Also defense will get it figured out once the season starts
We will play alot of man and send alot of heat this year. It's definitely a start.
As an OU fan. Offense looks scary good, defense looks like swiss cheese.
As has become the norm
Won’t be like that forever. They’ll have it figured out before the season starts
The interior needs players and I don’t think sage Ryan should be the starter at safety but besides that it was a solid showing
@@coreyrogers5358 that has the same chance of happening as OU having a Joe Moore winning offensive linemen this year
Blake Baker is our new defensive coordinator. They’ll fine tune it by time the season starts. He last coached at Mizzou and they had a top 5 defense in the SEC last year
2nd team defense looks better
The angle Perk took at 9:59 was incredible 🔥🔥
Bro we need to move on from some of these guys on defense Sage, Jones & burns
My opinion on the lsu spring game the qb is dual threat he run and pass the o line is elite running backs I said decent
The defense was struggle in the first half but the coverage got much better and almost won lsu defense might be ok which is enough for that scary offense
I like how a lot of folks are already down on LSU because of this spring game, not keeping in mind that much of what you saw both offensively and defensively were a lot of base packages. Spring Games are not about natty talks in April, not to mention every other coaching office on the schedule will be reviewing the game film over the summer, so you're not going to go out there in a scrimmage and run all your packages for the world to see. Spring Games are for player evaluation in a game style setting, who fits where, and who needs honing in certain areas.
Don't get ahead or behind ourselves here. Two teams held LSU's offense to less than 34 points last season, and even though the QB and WR room is different the ability to be explosive is still there, and for this defense whose coaching room was rebuilt only 3 months ago, they do look much more improved over last seasons unit. I'm aware that's not saying much, but bear in mind that if this unit could work themselves into even a top 50-60 defense nationally, coupled with this offense, they could surprise a lot of people.
USC secondary vs the LSU receivers is gonna be exciting
Our corners and Safeties still look a bit soft and mis communication but they are young with little to no experience
Just defense we need some head hunters man but we got some young players with potential they just need experience
Perskins still looking amazing definitely better then last year I expect a good szn from him he can prolly go to the NFL after this year after a lil set back from last year
Ay...
We straight on offense...
🐅
Offense: 95 overall
Defense: 70 overall
we looking at 10-3 this year, however this defense does look like it could improve and be a lot better than 70 ovr depending on how well we get down the coverage and blitzing. I say floor is 9-4 and ceiling (depending on the defense) could be 12-1.
Offense will put up a lot of points they will be explosive they are clicking but that 2nd team defense looks better than the 1st team Toviano definitely needs to start Ryan looks good at safety Burns should be playing like LB/SS Close to the line and we definitely need to get more DL in the Transfer portal
The LSU offense will be able to move the ball and score points. The defense has a little over 4 months to figure this 💩 out! Play your best players! Get them reps, reps, and more reps! #LSU IS COMING
looks like Sage Ryan Forgot his red no contact jersey
sage ryan still looking the exact same smh
The USC of the pac 12
The Chokelahoma of the big12
Then the LSU of the sec
All cant play defense.
Oklahoma's bringing a defense this year. Lol
You been day drinking again, huh??...
🍻
Yeah doesn’t look like LSU making the playoffs this year. Im ready for next spring game lolll
Harold Perkins is bunz.
If kyron Lacie is the best wr on the team lsu in trouble he is not consistent
Slice of swiss cheese would stop more than this defense smh
