Hi LeBlanc; Late to the party, but I thought I'd add my thoughts. I find they make a noticeable difference. I do record gas /mile also my truck has an ECO idiot light. The light rarely came on but after the cover was put on, the thing stays lit mostly. Odd we have different results. BTW Your wood loads may be heavier than what I carry. That would change things I'd think. All the best.

gas mileage it makes virtually no difference , if your buying it for that just reason you'll be disappointed
