    I finally ordered a HB (I got the Lemon 335 style) after all the hype. It’s on back order for 7-8 weeks! After paying thousands for my Gibson’s, Fenders and the like, I’m digging this revolution! I recently bought a LP jr style, Goldtop Firefly for $129 and love it!

Thank you for this closer review :) Other reviews didn't have a lot of high gain test and that's what I needed to hear the most, I'm surprised in the good way about how it handles those tones, very good versatile guitar for a veeery good price

    . It is gorgeous beyond belief and plays like an absolute dream. Extreme high quality here folks. Fit and finish, sound, playability. It’s all there. This is yet another HB home run. If you’re not sure to get it or not - get it. This is an absolute keeper and IMO is highly versatile for all style of music.

      @Beantoen Twanger : I totally concur. I have the Fusion T HH EB OCT and it is an unbelievable guitar, regardless of its ridiculously low price point for such high spec ( Staggered locking tuners, Graph Tech Tusq nut, ebony fret board, stainless steel frets, Wilkinson trem and those Roswell pickups are great ) Without a doubt THE best value guitar money can buy.

    The Wilkinson brand was designed by legendary Trev Wilkinson, guitar tech, designer and builder.
    He is also the designer and co-owner of the guitar brand Vintage Guitars. Great quality hardware and designs for a nice lower price. I believe the Wilkinson hardware is primarily produced in South Korea.

    I've had my ST-20 HSS for a few weeks now, I absolutely love it. I did change the tuners for locking ones (Harley Benton brand, so far they work great) and the string trees for rolling ones. I haven't picked up the other one since (except maybe once), also a Harley Benton, the SC-Custom. Mainly because the ST-20 is lighter and more comfortable and because I love the Strat tones. Thinking about getting just a normal Tele type next, the TE-70. One day I'll go for a Fusion HSH superstrat type. I'm totally abducted by Harley Benton now, I can look at other guitars, but wouldn't seriously consider paying for them when I can get more bang for the buck with Harley Benton (at a similar price point that is). Not a sales rep even tho I must sound like one

    • @mordokch
      @mordokch 4 роки тому +1

      @Shana Perry Only from Thomann shills lol. They have good points, like they are crazy cheap, look good and generally have reasonable hardware (nothing wrong with Wilkinson). But ... they just don't play that well, I mean for a beginner they will be fine, but for someone who knows what a good guitar really should feel like, they just don't cut it. Some have better pickups than others - the deluxe tele they used to do had great (single coil) pups, but was as heavy as a bus ! I think the pups in this guitar are awful though - muddy and just nasty sounding. I mean come on - this guy just put it through a Kemper and went through some decent profiles and he still couldn't get a good sound out of it - what chance do you think the average joe has with a £50 practice amp ? Now you can always replace the pups, but it's not so easy to replace the neck (obviously you can if it's a bolt on, but it seems like a waste of time here). Harley necks are just too numb for serious playing, or at least the ones I've tried are. Harley Benton's have their place, and they are for sure better than the stuff I had to learn on 40 years ago, but one should not confuse them with serious guitars for serious players imho.

    The key question is not how can Thomann issue such a price/quality guitar but why can't the other brands ? Of course we can debate about quality of components , electronics but still

      It just comes down to costs and profits. I read a few years back that most guitar manufacturers like Gibson, Fender etc. spend 200-400 building a guitar. As we know most electronics are that pricey, and most manufacturers outsource them from Asia anyway to keep costs down, for bigger profits. So something like a 2500 guitar actually cost the manufacturer something like 400-500 bucks total to build. Profit of approx 2k. Thomann isn't doing these HB's for big profits. They're basically selling them at cost. It's kinda like a volume type dealer. Sell good stuff at cost, to help bring in more customers. Since HB, i've noticed I order a lot more stuff that isn't HB's from Thomann. They got me w/ their shipping cost. I can get two guitars for the same flat 35 dollar shipping. But I also add a lot of extra accessories, etc into that order. So, I think it's brilliant marketing for Thomann. I've read a lot of comments where a lot of people are saying due to their flat shipping rate to the US of 35.00. They do the same thing, they order a lot of items that aren't HB's. cases, amps, cabs, cables, strings, tuners and a new trem. .. My last HB was a CST-24T, but w/ that 35 dollar shipping, I also ordered a case, a bunch of sets of strings, picks, a few cables etc.. Take full advantage of the shipping, why not.

    You're playing some simple open chords through a clean sounding signal path (after 10.00). Why does it sound out of tune, is the intonation bad or did you forget to tune the guitar?

    Don't use WD40!!!! Use Deoxit D5...which is designed for stereo cleaning AND LUBE for the pots and switches!

    It seems like a $1,000 guitar, if you can get less than 2 mm, locking tuners, and excellent bridge. Unlike the squires, you could even upgrade that bridge easily since it is standard.
    I would easily pay $400 if they could make sure you could get low action without buzzing.

    • @BasementGAS
      @BasementGAS  4 роки тому

      Good point! I don't think the bridge would need to be upgraded as it is already a solid design but the fact that they use standard sizes and components means you always have that option....unlike Epiphones for example.

    So what about the coil-split, you never tested it or at least showed the tones?

    • @BasementGAS
      @BasementGAS  3 роки тому

      The coil-spil gives you the almost classic tele sound. You're right, I did not show the tones. But I guarantee it's what you would expect. The pickups have a great single coil tone too.

    I got their T-style kit for €90 or something like that and I play that more than my Gibson SG. Individual preferences will matter but the sound is full and the neck suits me better than the that of my SG, which costs considerably more.
    After that I bought the J-bass kit and the Celestion 5 tube amp and I've been nothing but happy with both.
    I'm gonna be exploring a lot more of Harley Bemton's product line, that's for sure!

    The Roswell LAF version pickups are far too weak imho, the HAF seems better, on my roasted version if I split the pickups you can't at least hear them.

    How are the pickups? I just got an SC500WH and the pickups were total crap. I swapped them out for a set of Guitarheads Alnico Supremes which are fabulous. I also had my local tech put all new electronics in it and I installed upgraded tuners. $200 in upgrades but now it's a respectable instrument.

    Man I want one of these fusions so bad. I'd probably swap my Classic vibe 60s 2015 for one. I have a strat so...I need a fusion hb like this. They seem to be a total package.

  • @danilomilojkovic4400

    Stainless steel frets,roasted maple neck,lockin tuners,good nut and roswell alnico pickups is absolutely crazy for 250£.The same model but in strat design is fusion iii which costs 250£ too and is pretty much the same thing but in different shape.I dont really like harley benton because of the cheaper models which are trash(lets use 130$ for example,you can get squier bullet stratocaster or telecaster or you can get ibanez grx40 which are certanly better than any harley benton guitar for that price)
