Felt Henning was off his game on this one. You should watch Jonathan Log demo this. Kind of felt Henning wanted to get this out of the way in the demo at the start and it sounded not so great.
As a tele lover, finally a t type on a budget that looks amazing and premium especially a HH, I do love the classic tele look but for a more modern tele with hums this thing looks great, not a fan of Roswell pickups but easy to replace pickups like you say.
The pickups sound okay to me, even the single coil sound. It's not the best thing ever, but considering that a nice set of brand named pickups basically costs 1/3 of the price of the whole guitar, it definitely works.
You are absolutely right about the pickups comment. I have a fusion ii super strat and I changed the pickups to a Duncan custom, Duncan noiseless middle single, and a Jazz neck and that guitar came alive. It records as well as any of my premium guitars and that roasted neck feels like a dream.
Cheers Henning and Co.! The Fusion T in brown looks stunning. I agree with you, a change out of the pickups would be in order. Thanks for the vid Henning, you're the best! :)
I already have two teles in the HH configuration. One is a set neck from Fender, the other one is a Harley Benton. The one with the carved top, and weird staggered string through configuration. But, well. Dammitt!!!! Now I'm digging these...
My daughter would love that anime top you are wearing! Two very beautiful guitars, I love the turquoise metallic finish guitar, the paint finish and the body colour and neck colour are all gorgeous! Thanks for posting.
@EystichPie42 ~ Hey Henning, listening off of a Prism Sound Titan here (through an 2400 Audio Imperium monitor controller, to PSI A17m Monitors and an ADAM Sub8), your audio is great as usual (and I'm pretty critical about that stuff as a mixing/mastering engineer), These both are a both ALMOST, but not quite "brittle" Vs. say your Sig model (maybe that's because your Sig uses real Mahogany and not the Sapele?) After watching a few other UA-camrs reviewing these, I'm finding that the Trem does seem to make it all a bit thinner sounding Vs the hard tail. But I also find that the Roasted Maple Neck and Natural Veneer version gets some nice smoother highs and upper midrange Vs. the Ebony all Sapele version. Overall stellar job like normal, I'm really glad I found your channel. These are excellent for the money (ten years ago you couldn't get a guitar like this for that little). But I'm gonna say you're right on the money about the pickups (and the string tree), you could swap those for relatively little and have a great guitar. Hope you and Leslie are staying safe!
Just had a Fusion T HH Flame etc delivered with a pretty blonde effect veneer top. Sadly the strings miss the poles of the bridge pick up and the tone control does not have much effect for most of it's travel. The bridge pick-up sits snugly in it's hole in the body so the hole will have to be enlarged to move the pick-up. Trouble is if I send it back I've got a major problem getting the customs duty back (Duty £64.26, UPS "brokerage" £11.50), if I do not the cost of repair (luthier) takes the guitar out of the budget cost bracket. This is Saturday so I have to wait 'til Monday to talk to Thomann.
Was researching the whole day. Watched a Video from SpectreSoundStudios about some Harley Benton - checked comments reading that HB really went all the way to make really good guitars for a affordable price. Went into research again. Came across this one. Remembered "hasn't Chapman these kind of guitars I fell in love with but can't possibly afford"? So yeah - as soon as I get the money together I am going to get myself a HB Fusion-T for sure. And since I know you guys make really good reviews - you wouldn't review this guitar if it wasn't worth all you time.
The pickups on my Fusion T when adjusted down slant, the neck sounded way to mids heavy and find dialing that out on certain amps in Helix helps or picking cabs that are scooped a bit. Overall heavy picking hands will have to back off on any distorted tones with these. But it is very good for the price.
These are right up my street, look great and I really like Wilkinson trems. Sounds a bit low-midsy to my ear though, just from the intro music, so I'm pretty sure those pickups would be out out as soon as I got it.
Yeah. Intro sound samples does not good at all. Really muddy. But at this price range, i dont care about the sound. As long as playability, durability, stability are good, then it is awesome. I will swap pickup when I receive these guitar right away.
Thanks friend, is it the same model with a different color? The pickups on the green guitar have one piece of plastic but the other does not. thank you
the HBs are honestly better sounding than most guitars I've heard lately tbh. it depends what you're going for. coil splits are rarely great soundwise, at least these are usable.
I have two HB guitars and one bass and am well satisfied with all. Henning's demos took me from yeah I've heard of those to yeah they are worth buying. I mean, listening to the opening tracks, I'm thinking how would you improve on that? Exceptional value and absolutely usable.
I'm surprised about the sound difference these two have!!! The green is fuller, rounder!!! Don't like the thin sounding roasted one! So I'm a bit affraid because I have ordered a roasted one but without a trem!!! Hopefully this makes a difference too?! Henning, do you think the position of trem and volume knob is comfy - looks very close...
The one thing that I would change with this guitar is the control layout locations. Firstly, the pickup Selector Switch is way to close to your picking area, and the volume and tone controls could be moved down lower, like a traditional Telecaster. It would be better ergonomically and visually. Since this video, they have slightly made improvements to the Selector Switch location and angle in which it operates. The volume knob is slightly behind the bridge, which is in a weird spot, especially on the trem model. Kind of behind the Tremolo bar. Otherwise, this guitar is a smashing deal in every other way!
Pictures lately show an orientation of the blade selector that matches a strat/super strat. I didn’t even realize it until after I had already ordered but, I would personally welcome the change. Let’s see what comes 😂
Exactly what I do with lower end Squires. Change pups, tuners, pots, switch and use fender cloth wire and suddenly it's a kickass guitar for under $400. And it sound and play every bit as good as a Tele that costs 3 to 4 times the amount.
@@RaxFx Easier to use and doesn't melt if things inside happen to get hot. And I prefer it, so that's all that makes the difference to me and that's all that matters.
Trying to see if the non trem has a terrible neck dive like one bad review on thomann was saying. Is this the case? should I go for the term version just to add that bit of weight on the body so that there is no neck dive or that is not an issue?
Just got the Fusion T HH Roasted Maple a few weeks ago. Didn't like the sound of it at all until I put some 9s on it. The trem coming to rest on the body made a huge difference in the sound. Now getting ready to swap the pups as the neck is a bit muddy for my taste. But overall a great playing guitar. I can play things on it that I can't pull off on others.
About the pickups: After removing the covers they sound a lot better IMHO. Of course they still can't be compared to higher end pickups but hey, you get what you pay for. This only cost me some elbow grease and a bit of time
@@pedrosilvaproductions it's not like everyone can find them used just like that, also not everyone wants to go through the hassle and risk of buying things used

I had read a few concerned as well with this placement. I would imagine though, your playing style would be very much need to be factored. I play mainly ambient atmos blues. So I'm hoping it wont be a bother. My concern is mine (the natural with trem and roasted neck) is coming from California to Ga across the entire US. Haha second hand at that. Thankfully the guy put in soft shell case. Which is better than not I suppose. It will arrive tomorrow and I'm a strat guy but fell in love with a bullet tele. So theres that. Hahah. I paid 400 which sadly is 330 usd plus 50 ship and extra new "tax" which sucked as I got GAS and said screw it and bought it. Anyway my only manufacturing concern is the trem claw screws. I've heard 2 people one in the HB reviews and one whom made a video on youtube about them pulling right out while using trem stripping the wood. Which apparently that's more of a screw size issue over the sapele I guess?? I will upload my review as soon as I get it within 24 hours first to my subs as a "it made it" video hoping again that it comes ok and not damaged. It has a ding in back the size of a dime which i am ok with. I figured if it arrives ok and I dont like it, it will sell locally pretty fast even if I lose 50 bucks. At least I'll have video material. Hahahahah. Anyway. I suppose I have commented too long here. I'll let ya be. Be well there!!😀

Very inspiring soloing in your Jam track! You ROCK Henning🎸btw the guitar sounds great.
Really digging the natural finish one, she's a beaut!
Beautiful playing at the beginning, this guitar brought out the best in your playing, very melancholic.
Green one: Ebony fretboard, Stainless steel jumbo frets, staggered locking tuners, graphtech Tusq xl nut for under $300. Not bad
Amazing tbh
Just don't make the same mistake as me. I rode my Harley Benton to a gig and played my Harley Davidson on stage. Doh !
Hahah
Hardly Benton. Hehehe
Ah, see what you did here haha
Twirlyhead that’s funny
Where’s the problem? The Davidson sounds great as well...

Why? All models will have variations, so even if included, it wouldn’t mean much.
@@nathanc6611 those variations usually are within aprox. 5/10% or less - what is important is to know if we are in the 3.2 or 4.4 Kg range
