As an ex target employee I can confirm that the cart dudes are absolutely bored enough to launch a war.
The cart guy for walmart looks like he's going to be a workplace mass shooter.

As a former Target employee, we legally cannot tell you what the balls are for. Once you’re hired, they implant a detonator in your brain, and revealing the ball secrets will result in immediate termination.

@@funkybugman that’s a surprise :)
I only worked there in the winter months so they didn't get time to implant it... They are for keeping cars from running into the building. Walmart has those concrete pillars, the balls just look better :)

oh boy jarvis, wait til u find out that there were people born in 2004…

People born in 2010 are 11 years old now.
Yes hello I'm here
@@neyoid oh, silly naive Internet person. 11 year olds don't exist.
And like me, 2006.
why target has balls: “The giant concrete balls, called bollards, serve as safety precautions for keeping cars from driving into the storefront doors and potentially harming shoppers.”
They're not placed closely enough for that.
I’m not sure what was up with the picture he showed but usually they are a lot close together.
@@TBH_Inc I haven't been to Target in a bit, and the last time I passed it I wasn't looking too hard, but I remember them being a fair distance apart, definitely a cars width at least
that’s why i have balls too
@@Lisekplhehe it is really a deterrent and a clear sign that the car is going into a forbidden area. They are close enough together as long as the person is not in a clear state of mind trying to run into the building... You have to be in a pretty bad state of mind to want to run into a target I would think.
Excuse me Jarvis, we at target are not "employees" we're "Team Members" and we don't have "managers" we have "Team Leads" and we don't have a CEO, we have "Daddy Cornell" because we're a family who cares about eachother, which is why Daddy Cornell gives me a 10¢ raise every year if I'm a good slave, I mean team member.
LMFAOOOOOOO
Daddy??????????
As a current Target team member, this checks out
I can verify the validity of this statement.
😂😂😂
If Home Depot joins Walmart that's huge. Home Depot has the rail carts, flat carts, and table carts on top of normal carts. That kind of fire power could be world ending in the wrong hands
🤣🤣🤣 This is hilarious
That would just mean Target needs an alliance with Lowe's to level the playing field.
We now need lowes to join target. Then maybe they will have a chance, lol
you heard the home depot theme song in the background of those tiktoks?
Maybe Menards
I like to imagine a manager telling a group of minimum wage kids to go to the parking lot and collectively beat up a shopping cart
So, my dad used to be a manager at a Walmart a long long time ago (like in the 80s/90s when they were smaller) And he's told me stories in the past where after shift him and some employees would stand outside of Target and shout stuff or bringing a 'TARGET SUCKS' sign to the parking lot like they were fighting THE MAN, on the war front for... Walmart .. the little guy. If my dad were a young adult today this is the kind of things he'd have been doing.
PLEASE have your dad make a series about his time at Walmart in the 80s I need this in my life
😂😂😂
A true veteran of the war
there are two pubs in the city I live in and for years and years the 2 bars employees have been "at war". They steal parts of the signs or go undercover 🥸 in the bars and stealthily take some iconic things from inside. The staff notice and will text someone from the other bar or the bar that stole something will try and write things on social media highlighting the item that was stolen. Foe those who know about the ongoing war its pretty funny.
I gotta say I love people like your dad. if you're a regular of a place and the employees take it up a notch its alot of fun. even employee to employee. love it.
So you're saying this is the world war II of this conflict??
This is just bizzare. Imagine in the future college business majors learning about this.

we have a Target and Walmart that share a parking lot, not even 10 miles from where i live. why? your guess is as good as mine.
they also share the parking lot with a Costco, which only makes things more confusing. although i don't think Walmart and Target are direct competitors to Costco, so that probably makes more sense than the combination Sam's Club-and-Costco parking lot that's maybe 20 miles in the opposite direction.

It would be hilarious if Lowe’s joins the Target side and Home Depot joins the Walmart side simply because of the color theme
The issue is that I think there’s some sort of agreement between Lowe’s and Walmart. I’m in the southeast US, and I always see the two together. Like I’ve never seen a Lowe’s without a Walmart nearby

I don't think it's for loyalty- it's more to make the hell that is working there better, even a slight bit fun. Also, Dorito's comment is probably right too.
i like how you include some sort of context for a few things that are maybe normal to a US citizen, bc as someone from a different country, it's not so obvious to me and Target, for instance, is not something we have here. so it's nice to feel included. keep up the good work!!

Actually, the balls at target are little force fields to protect the shopping carts that were injured in battle.
There are a stack of hundreds of Walmart carts at the local king Soopers. They just stack them in back and don't give a shit. Lol
It's strange because I use Walmart and Target for different things. I see Walmart as a place to get basic items such as food, cleaning supplies, pet supplies, holiday items, storage etc. for cheap because Target tends to be more expensive for those items. I use target for clothes, accessories, decoration, and more specialty foods (gluten free, dairy free, vegan, etc.) The clothes/accessories at Target tend to be more my style and slightly better quality than Walmart. Also Target feels more like a traditional department store like Macy's or JCPenneys now, while Walmart still feels like a regular all purpose store. I don't really see them as competitors, but as different types of stores that happen to have a LOT of overlap.
Agree. Walmart is more for grocery shopping and for non grocery, Wal-Mart has more choices but Target has better qualities. Walmart is on top. Target is below just looks more polished.
