Saw it on a sleepover when I was nine, my friend had cool parents, no way my folks would've let me. We watched, Robo Cop , Predator and Evil Dead 2 all new release VHS...lol best sleepover ever
One of my favourite films of all time, I saw it first when I was 14 years old, I'm 43 now and it's still as enjoyable as the first time I saw it. That says something doesn't it,? Classic show.
Predator is my favourite movie of all time nothing even comes close this is what movie magic is all about this movie will live on for decades and years to come thank you for posting this tribute to this fabulous masterpiece and absolutely love your channel sincerely abundant love and blessings from Canada sincerely Richard ❤
Wether McTiernan realised it or not, he and the actors made that contact shooting scene one of the best in action movie history on so many levels, 1.) The epicness of 5 veteran soldiers blindly unloading ungodly amounts of ammunition at once at an unknown target 2.) Bill Duke's acting and look of pure fear and confusion when he sees this unknown camouflaged thing that just killed his best friend 3.) Richard Chaves and Arnold's reactions when they say that they hit absolutely nothing is so spot on, especially as Arnold's character then realises he's up against something so bad that its terrified one of his most experienced and battle hardened men... just utter brilliance
Thank goodness the script wasn't thrown away: if that happened, then we'd never got one of the best movies ever made and gave John McTiernan two credits some directors only dream of - "Predator" and "Die Hard"!.
I still remember as a kid, I cried when the predator was kicking Arnold’s ass… to me, Arnold was indestructible, and for the predator to keep beating him up was sad! The end made up for it though!
The only thing missing from this masterpiece was Jungle atmosphere. It could’ve been the other villain of the movie if they added the right lighting and camera angles. The jungle could’ve looked like a haunted house, but instead, it looks like a place I want to go hiking.
This movie delivered two Governors in the United States. Gov Ventura and Gov Schwarzenegger.....very impressive. Deep respect for the 80s action period. Machismo was encouraged.
Thank you for this! This was one of my favorite episodes along with Robocop and Die Hard when I was a kid.. shame AMC dumped Backstory it was a great show to watch for beginners.. do you have any more episodes?
Thanks - glad you enjoyed it - unfortunately I don't have any other episodes of that show, however I have a lot of other great rare behind the scenes footage and documentaries on this playlist - ua-cam.com/play/PLCc7X5UkXa8Ji0RVKQEqf1sk8GWJC29Lg.html

Thanks. This sheds so much light on what those incredible guys have gone through to pull off such magnificent masterpiece that Predator is.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I wonder if these guys knew they were creating an absolute master piece
With many of these 80’s classics, I doubt anyone could predict that these would still be enjoyed and celebrated 40 years into the future!
Carl Weathers cracked me up with that one!😂
Nice! Thanks for this. I just watched the film for the first time since VHS!

Awesome video and a great classic
Glad you enjoyed it!
I've seen the making of but never seen this one. Thanks.
Great video , and the movie , loved it
Not many documentaries about this movie that actually mention JCVD was the original predator.

even read recently that Sonny Langham ran for Governor of Kentucky but I guess his previous career in porn was a setback.
My favourite sci fi action movie of all time but aliens is a very close second !!
Back when AMC was cool.
so they're not cool in the breaking bad, walking dead era?
Agreed - thanks for watching
Yep! It was alot like Turner Classic Movies until 2002 when they termed it "The New AMC". I thought that it was Garbage!
Ok boomer
Back when AMC had a cigar in it's mouth
Thank you for this! This was one of my favorite episodes along with Robocop and Die Hard when I was a kid.. shame AMC dumped Backstory it was a great show to watch for beginners.. do you have any more episodes?

Rest in peace Carl weathers
Todo bien pero le falto mencionar el trabajo de Alan silvestri y su magnífica banda sonora.
Born in 87 this film came out in 87 I know this film word 2 word scene by scene. T2 n predator I could exactly remake them both!!😂
That’s Duke!
Is Rino Romano the narrator?
Before his time I think

Vandam took it with him
Hoppah died in the choppah, got to get to the choppah.
Technically this movie is a stolen idea. There was a movie way before that was the same concept. So much for a dream
Which is?
