My old stomping ground! I used to work at that park from 2002-2006 by my 4th summer i learned how to operate every ride there. Some still remain others arent there anymore. Its so crazy to see my first job as a teen on your channel. 😎😎😎
It’s starting to become a tradition that Taylor gets hit by a tree on coasters 😂
and that Sarah's uhh... melons? fall out
no way! you were 40 minutes away from where I live, I'm honestly starstruck lmao. Hope you enjoyed one of my home parks! R.I.P hurricane, their rollercoaster that was replaced with turbulence. Also, rattlesnake used to be a ladybug! also the rotating boat ride used to be alligators!
Definitely a right of passage for any Long Islander. The park was the inspiration for the movie Adventureland written and directed by Greg Motolla who worked at the park as a teen.
I was at the premiere of that. Got to meet the cast. Pretty cool
Though the movie was actually filmed at Kennywood.
@@BAKU2K2thats true!
@@BAKU2K2Yes it was filmed at Kennywood but was loosely based off of his experience working at Adventureland
I was there when they were shooting Music & Lyrics. I met Brad Garett and saw Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore floating around the park
Living in NY I haven’t been to this park in YEARS. I’m 30 now and the last time I went I was 13 for a middle school trip lol. I’m actually at a lunch break right now typing this and my job is 15 minutes from the park lol. I remember when they removed Hurricane. That was such a fun coaster. That park has changed many time. It’s really cute and small but still fun. I should try go visit one day. Thanks for this video.
Real ones remember when rattlesnake used to be the ladybug
Real ones remember when the ride op was killed from the ladybug 😢😢😢
This is technically my home park but I haven’t been here in years lol. It’s good for the kids though.
It's ON Long Island!
as a person who lives on long island, I agree
We spot the non natives when they say “in Long Island”
"That was a lot of fun but they need to trim their bushes"
;-)
Hey coaster studios it’s Alijah from cameo I just want to say I was freaking out cause I never had a UA-camr talk to me and it was very funny😂
Turbulence is way more fun than it looks for being so small! Nice to see you guys here on the Island! 👏🤘
The series finale for "The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" on Netflix was filmed at Adventureland!
Hurricane was my first roller coaster ever.
As a couple from Long Island we have gone to Adventureland all our lives. We do not know if you missed a cute thing or just did not show it but in the front fence of the park they have over sized postcards (like three feet long) mailed to Adventureland from other parks like Cedar Point. The other interesting thing is the antique car ride there is actually from the NY 64/65 Worlds Fair...Disney is not the only parks that got rides from there.
For any movie nerds: this is the park Robert Pattinson's character breaks into in Good Time. It's one of my favorite movies so I'd be remised to not mention that.
Pretty good and slightly frenetic film!
There's not many Mack Spinning Ciasters in America so it's great this small park has one.
You were dangerously close to one of the guys that made you watch niglo show
You guys missed the pirate ship and log flume
MY HOMEPARK!!!! When I first saw you post Fireball on your instagram, I COULDN'T WAIT FOR YOUR VIDEOS ON IT!!
Thanks for visiting my home park! It’s such a charming little place. Turbulence is awesome!
My home park!! You couldn't grow up on Long Island and NOT go to Adventureland. They used to have P.O.P bracelets that you would keep on for WEEKS after you went to show how cool you were.
This used to be my old home park 😊
Looks really nice, like a cool amusement park for locals to visit and hang out at. Not every park needs to be a huge six flags park and something like this is really nice and welcomed to see. And yeah I see the Bakken vibes, Bakken even had one of those water whip rides too with an alligator theme back in the day, it was replaced by their Nebuluz.
I've actually never heard of this park, thanks for the great vlog!
Turbulence gets wild, but more towards the end, when you can’t keep your head still but somehow never get injured. Lil tip, hold your head on the head rest until about half of the ride when it gets reallllly fast
Sarah, if you're not sick you should consider taking an hour every now and again to see a speech psychologist.. if you find yourself losing your voice a lot from talking in loud places/ yelling on rides etc
through videos it seems like Taylor loses his voice much less often lol
just a thought; you do you if course
Oh man that circular water ride looks amazing. So fun!😄
I live not too far away from here, and I love going here every summer. In my opinion, Adventureland Long Island is a must for people visiting.
Wow guys and gals that was a trip down memory lane for me. Last time I was there Hurricane was in operation and they had a Mondial Topscan that ran in ultra Fair mode. Unfortunately they had an incident on it that it was removed. They also used to have a fairly large log flume and a pirate ship that I had many oh sh*t moments on as they ran it extremely high for a pirate ship. My younger days were the galaxy and Gravitron run on high mode also. Unfortunately living in Ohio I probably won't make it back to this awesome little park in Farmingdale.
Now which Adventureland is better? Long Island or Iowa?
Iowa
I spent a lot of time in the park in the 70’s and my kids spent a lot of time in the park in the 90’s and early 2000’s. Nice little park.
We have turbulence here in the Philippines too! Called Twin Spin at Enchanted Kingdom also by mack rides.
I love Sarah's voice 😊
The rattlesnake was my first coaster, back when it was still the ladybug roller coaster.
That talking tree used to be hung up on the side of the haunted house and would move and talk and warn patrons about a chainsaw wielding maniac running around the haunted house. And the owl on the one branch used to have light up eyes and moved it head
This makes me want to go back just to see what else has changed
I heard Remember going here while also being there emma here i going rollercoaster her fun now adds new too
I love seeing 110 when they go up on the first coaster.
Why does the first coast have a random vertical lift going to nowhere right beside the actual lift?
Cool thing, during the pandemic they would host drive in movie events. I went to one and it was really fun.
That tree doesn’t like chainsaws, it once had a close shave with one
Always a good day when a new Vlog comes out
8:39 This dark ride has sounds from the video game series Left 4 Dead. Specifically from the Charger zombie. Here's a video showing those same sounds:

That's so cool that you got to go to Adventureland in 2023!! I literally have not been there since my last elementary school or day camp trip when I was like 10 years old. (We're talking back in 1977, kiddos.)
My very first time in the park was all the way back in 1973 when that Galaxi coaster was brand-new. I remember being so scared to ride that big scary rollercoaster all the way back when I was 6 years old (lol), and it was very intense for me back in the day but I loved it. Since I literally have not been to Adventureland since 1977, I completely missed-out on the Hurricane (😞), But I do hope to finally come back to the park for the first time in literally 48 years, in 2025, and ride Turbulence (even though I'm not a big fan of free-spinning coasters) and pretty much any other ride I can fit on. (I'm considerably larger than I used to be, at 5'8" and now tipping the scales at 255 pounds.)
For me this park holds so much nostalgia. Growing-up in Flushing Queens NY, it was my very first amusement park and the Galaxi was my very first rollercoaster. I also distinctly remember the Toboggan, still the only one of its kind I've ever been on. That ride holds the record of being the most compact rollercoaster ever built, and back when I was a growing little boy, it was so much fun. They also had an Enterprise, a Super Orbiter, a Trabant (none of which I could bring myself to go on) a Music Express (which made me sick the first time I rode it), a cute little choo-choo train which I loved, a Tilt-A-Whirl which I basically liked although it was a little intense for me the first couple of times I went on it and...I guess that's about it. They didn't have a flume ride then, unfortunately.
But yeah, I plan on finallly visiting New York again next year for the first time in 8, and this time I'm going to take this amazing little trip down Amusement Park Memory Lane. 😊
One last thing here: It is really sad to me knowing that Adventureland, Coney Island and Rye Playland (which I've still never been to, BTW) are the ONLY remnants of the NYC Metro Region's rich amusement park history. In my time growing-up in NYC in the 1970s and 1980s, we had Adventurer's Inn (which I went to twice as a youngster) and Rockaway Playland (saw it from the A train once but was never actually taken there). New Jersey also had Palisades Park, literally right across the Hudson River from Manhattan. It's a sad story of a bygone era.
Is it normal to lose your voice this frequently? This could be a sign of a medical issue or is it not?
best matching results when looking up could be allergies, cold, laryngitis or GERD. doubt it's anything serious.
the haunted house 👍
I go there every year! Definitely a great place to go. I have season passes since i live in long island!
Spinning intensity ..when you have an empty seat in the car, that is. Personally, I would never want to ride ~any~ coaster with spinning cars that have a balanced number of riders, but the chances of that happening aren't high.
Which is better Adventureland New York or Adventureland Iowa?
I prefer to Iowa park
Obviously, the one in Iowa is a much bigger park.
Iowa has better rides imo, NY is more for kids-teens
Can’t wait to see y’all ride the new Kid Flash on your next visit at SFOG at some point. It’s finally open for everyone to ride it
My home park!
Turbulence > RTH
14:25 Rye needs to replace Super Flight with an RMC Raptor
The inverted Hounted House ride is made by Gossetto and they are build as traveling rides, the gondolas can spin around in permanent installations
Gonna poke someone's eye out with that bush on the spinning coaster. That's nuts.
welcome to Long Island , this use to be my childhood park.
I never thought you would go to my home park
I grew up going to this park and used to live a few minutes from there
This always looked like a great cute park in such a popular area.
That statue is “Alfie” the mascot of the park
Woo! Poor Tanner on the flume ride. LOL
Anyone else think the coasters in the thumbnail were Dragonslayer and Monster instead of Fireball and Turbulence for about a second?
lol thats funny they do look kind of similar
Live like 15 minutes from this place, used to come here all the time when I was a kid. Now I just go to great adventure lol
Same here, I wish they could build another good coaster
Looks like the weather really warm
My home park
hi
Soooo adventureland long Island or waldameer
Long Island
No way this is less than 10 minutes away from me
