Lyceum Theatre Sheffield - Back From The Brink

Today is the 123rd birthday of Sheffield’s Lyceum. Take a look at how this much loved building very nearly disappeared in the 1970s and how it was lovingly restored to it’s former glory.

I am 85 and visited the Lyceum several times in the 1940s when I was a young boy. The Pantomimes were marvelous and I can still picture the delightful young performers. Keep up the good work. Tony from OZ.

ABC filmed the video for Poison Arrow in the Lyceum in the early 80's when it was run down and abandoned.
