Is this a ranked match? That's wild. I've just been messing around with bots in single player.
Maybe if committing hard on water, then your land production could be by docks? that way if you win water then you can defend it with ships a bit. Would still be tough to hold, but at least gives a safe point for amassing units and wood gathering.
Overcommit on those arrow ships and forget about the land…I think this a mistake that even the best players still do on water maps lol
Anyways after you won water you should spammed more fishing ships, you could stay in the game this way, even with 1 TC.

Play the meta without understanding it, get outplayed.
The meta is water because double eco production will always win you land.
Trying to win water at all costs will not win the game, it will win the water.
Your opponent saw how heavily you were committing to water, did a very basic land push and you folded.
At least there was one gamer in this match.
