- Skaftafell Glacier in Vatnajokull National Park is home to some of Iceland's most stunning hikes & spectacular canyons. A 90 minute drive from Vestrahorn on the east and Vik from the west, this glacier can be hiked up with the guides from Troll expeditions. The hike takes you through many ridges and crevices, glacial streams with beautiful views all around. The crowning moment of our South Iceland exploration, however, was the hike to a hidden canyon studded with waterfalls.
