- Former NFL DT Seth Payne takes a look at Texas Longhorn DT Byron Murphy II and examines his prospects in the NFL. Murphy had an excellent workout at the NFL Scouting Combine and likely elevated himself into the top 15 of the first round.
Now he's lining up with Leonard Williams, Jarran Reed and Dremont Jones
Watching film of Murphy gets me excited as a Seahawks fan. I still can't believe that seattle got this player especially with the fact that Murphy should have been top 10 and he is truly the best dlineman in this draft. Hopefully by getting the best corner, best receiver in last draft and now getting Murphy and haynes will truly help turn seattle into contenders.

I doubt you remember Seth, but way back in the day before Madden monopolized the rights to the NFL for games on consoles, but there used to be a game, i think it was NFL Fever and they had a mode you can play looking thru the players eyes. I would basically only play you on defense at DT, swim move, power move pass the center and sack the QB, used to get around 3-5 sacks a game with you. That's the biggest reason i remember you so vividly, been a Texans fan since day 1 in 2000.
He reminds me of Casey Hampton. They look exactly the same on film.

I pray we get a DT with the 23rd pick, sign Greenard and our DLine will be great this season. Use that FA money on Patrick Queen and find a CB2 in FA even if its Nelson again. And then go get Saquan Barkley for CJ to keep defenses honest.
Does everybody on the team for the next season start learning the play book from page 1?
