That's amazing that someone who actually worked on the game has seen my video on it ha. The character design is definitely one of my favourite things about this game was obsessed with the little alien fellas as a kid. I remember watching all the FMVs in the menus as a kid were so cool for the time. Did you guys just wanna make speedball 2 with cool aliens? 🤔. Thanks for your work on this game got me through some hard times.

This games definitely interesting and different. It's truly weird the way our minds latch on to small things from the past that define us in large ways as adults. Great shout out to all the important peeps in your early life bro. There are many people that informed my early life that I have never seen again and sometimes wonder what they are doing now. Like the dude that I met in primary school and went to his house like 3 times to play punch out on NES, and then he left the school and I never saw him again. But I love the punch out series simply because of this. I can't even remember his name anymore. Anyway. Major feels with this video mate keep up the grand work you do :)
You are not the only person that loves this game. It was amazing. Loved the vibe and the characters. Team fishpeople forever. They reminded me of one waterbound enemy in magic carpet.
I'm a teenager who didnt grow up with this and I have every reason not to care about this game but somehow I actually love it and find it so fun and charming- one of my most played ps1 games lol
I love Pit Ball. Such a good competitive game with a ton of fun co-op/vs matches. I don’t like many sports games besides Techno’s World Cup for NES (ha!). I grew up with brothers, so we played a lot of vs/co-op games like this. Super Bomberman was ridiculous for the snes 🔥 Great job on the review! I need to play it again now!
My favorite Blockbuster experience ever was renting some garbage PS1 game I don’t even remember now. However, underneath the garbage game I rented lurked another beaten and battered disc bearing the name Pitball. Discovering this amazing futuristic sports game and spending the weekend battling it out with my buddy was literally one of the best memories of my childhood.
I remember playing this once or twice at a friends house. He had a PS1 and I had an N64. Sometime later I got a PS1 myself and asked to borrow it, only to find out he had traded it in for something else. Only though about it today because of the asteroid in the Earth thing, which my non-native English speaker brain had assumed was Mt. Everest growing that big in the future because I saw a documentary as a kid saying it grows higher every year. Good video with some relatable reflections on nostalgia and how memories attach to weird stuff sometimes.
Got to say this game was amazing but what was more amazing is you using the digimon ps1 theme during part Of this haha nice one dude I had pitball aswell as a kid
This video is a great example why ranting badly about some unpopular and forgotten videogames should be forbidden. Yes, there is plenty of games that seems unimpressive and uninteresting to majority of players, but there is always someone who keep fond memories about them. Such games probably don't add a lot to the videogames world as a whole, however, they means world to some players by themselves. We all have such games. The games that overlooked by others, but feels special for us personally. And we should respect that. Thanks for sharing that story of your childhood memories. It brightens my day a bit and allowed me to plunge into my own.
Canada says soccer, too, and they still have the Queen on their money! Also, so cool you have such positive media memories from people who are gone now. I got into Magic the Gathering through a friend who unfortunately took his own life as a teenager. Still have a lot of my old cards from when we played during recess in the 5th grade.
I randomly thought of Pitball today and did a search to see if anyone else had anything to say about it. I still have my copy. Back in ~2000 I attempted to trade it in to Babbage's (the old name for GameStop). The cashier looked it up and tod me it was worth -$10 and offered to throw it away for me. I told him I'd rather just keep it.
Reminds me of death row for the original Xbox must have spent hundreds of hours playing that bloody game always loved how it had weird fake adverts in it for chicken flavoured pills and stuff hahaha
It’s a lot of fun and I’m sure the character riddick was in there somewhere as a little Easter egg think o remember him being one of the convicts if you play that team

There are tons of games out there that hardly anyone knows about. Hidden Gems to be exact. And you found one just like it.

Ha brilliant... that might be part of why I still have my copy. Cause anything worth anything was sold for drinking money from 18-22.
