I'm starting to think these monks are the secret villains of the game. But yeah, not every city builder needs to be a survival city builder, popular as those are at the moment. This game is clearly a logistics puzzle game.
I remember hearing about this as an actual critique of agrarian theocracies as the priesthood is held with highest regard while everyone else toils away to keep the priests from starving at the cost of being locked to the land and unable to self-improve or self-elevate.
Just listening to Pravus losing his mind is more entertaining than I thought.
@Pravus Upgrading roads costs more upkeep but lets attached buildings reach further. More importantly Yak fields don't consume or provide any resources but yak population, which has unlimited range. You should just have picked a large green area, bridged over to it, and just moved over as many fields as possible to get them out of the way around your Food Markets and population centers.
Such a lovely game, with a fun puzzle element. Also, I am enjoying seeing more of Mrs Pravus - AKA Ainyaly - editing these videos as they really add to the enjoyment watching of Pravus going mad with his puzzle solving. Much enjoy...

the roads can be upgraded giving beater range and I belive the charts can have more then one produkt and conection.
This reminds me a lot of Cliff Empire if you ever played that

well, its like Anno 1800 with disasters prevention+event system. Its restrictions and challenges are similar to cliff empire.
You don't need to deliver from a Cart shack in one area to a Cart shack in another area. The Carts have to be in a distributing building's AoE range for recieving a good to deliver only. Their delivery range is infinite to any proper recieving building.
Have a plateau full of barley fields?
Load up a cart and it can go to any food market on any connected plateau directly.
The carts deliver, the walkers distribute.
Wasted alot of employees on jobs they didn't need to be doing. :P

that fishing mechanic is funny, waterfall fish, catched with nets, not rods :) salmon is crazy can go upstream even in Himalayas lol

This was hard to watch.
You use the cart system to transport between the regions. That lets you save space by having it work at high efficiency and then just transport it elsewhere.
worth noting religeion historicaly funds and trains/ is your science people cause well the secrets of the universe are already in there wheelhouse afterall if god made things how they are investigation into the more weird rules would be interesting to people who dedicated there lives to it
