This one had to come at the right time.. It's been almost 10 years since my first VGM concept album PK Rockin, I performed at Virtua Ongaku's Holiday Special with an all-winter setlist, and just in general I've not gotten to put out too many music videos! I thought it would be nice to revise my Theme of Winters/Snowman cover from Earthbound/Mother respectively, opting for more dynamics, stops, soloing, and in general different aspects that make my version reflect the decade of growth! It's a tricky song to fumble with it being so sweet and nurturing while having enough mystery in its progression to work well in prog metal form.
I'm still hyped up and working insanely hard on my MAGFest performance coming up in January 2024, but I wanted to be sure I got to pay some respects to how everything got started.
