I play my sonorus vovox for a some months back home and use some other vovox cabling in my studio. When using a "normal" instrument cable on stage, I found myself checking the amp, for the sound was quite noticeably thinner and less ... hifi. Make no mistake: cables do matter and Vovox is right on top of the list for sound quality. I have the proof for that everyday when recording. Especially voice recordings are really superior to other studio standard cables. Gives you the extra 5 % ... If you hear no difference, then be happy: any ol' cheapo cable will do for ya ;-)
I dont hear a difference but i like the feel of the cable However, im a bit confused on shielded vs unshielded. Which one should i get and does it matter? I need vocal, guitar and instrument cables Thanks
Hey! So first off all, basically every cable is shielded/grounded so don‘t worry about that :) What you are referring to is balanced vs unbalanced connections which are different in their way. With vocals you typically need a balanced connection, more specifically an xlr cable. This type of connection is common for microphones. Instrument and Guitar cables are the same. They have an unbalanced connection and have a 6,3mm jack instead of xlr (like the one in the thumbnail of this video) Hope I could clarify that for you! :)
@@Worgram But vovox xlr cables comes both shielded and unshielded, thats what i meant. Which ones are better? Unshielded are sometimes more expensive so...
@@lonelycake4114 Ah right, you mean that. with the xlr cable you can go shielded if you want to, should be better to reduce noise from sources like mouse + keyboard or your pc (which balanced connections get rid of in itself).
hey! It's rare for people to test it out. Could you specify which Cordial and which Vovox you used? Sounds like Cordial 275 vs Vovox Link Protect to me. I hear a difference, even through UA-cam.

Vovox sounds brighter and more natural. Cordial sounds like a low/mid-boost to me.
vovox griffiger
Thx for the comparison. I hear a difference. The cordial sounds just a bit more difficult to listen but I don't know why.
