    I've rode Santiam and East Fort Rock/Millican, 4 corners for many years. Thanks for the great video.

      Thanks, those are nice areas to escape to. Was just at Cline last weekend, may head to Millican this weekend.

      @@BruceBrooksPhotos It was perfect last weekend, and I'm guessing this weekend even better. There was a little bit of snow on some North Faces of some canyons, but not bad for Dirt Bike Winter riding.

    Well done video.
    I hate to be pedantic but it would be nice if you mentioned cutting that tree was not legal just to be sure nobody else would be encouraged to do so.
    That part of East Fort Rock is on national forest land. It legal to cut already downed trees only and outside of developed areas(staging areas included).

      I was thinking the same thing. High desert isn’t exactly overflowing with trees.

    I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Santiam/Big Lake riding. A considerable amount of cool black sand, but such incredible shared trails and amazing places to discover. And in summer, just cruise by the lake and chill...

    Where was the spot with the hill climb? Which staging area were you near?

    • @ScottPDX
      @ScottPDX  4 роки тому +1

      Assuming you are talking the first day ride at Santiam Pass. That climb is up the back side of the Ski Area. We staged at the Snow Park, but rode through the main staging area on the way to that climb. The area isn't that big, if you ride the marked trails you'll see most all of it in a day.

      Scott_PDX Sorry, I should’ve clarified. I meant East Rock Rock!

      @@PNWMOTOADVENTURES Gotch, if you are talking that red cinder climb, I think that was a Play Area in the SE corner of EFR.

    Any chance you would share the gpx file from your garmin

      Ha, I'm not that organized. I can tell you it was two different OHV areas and those were all official trails. The first was Santiam OHV Area and the trails we rode were the most popular ones. The second place was East Fort Rock OHV area, and kinda the same story. The best part about riding EFR is exploring anyways to my GPX wouldn't help much. Santiam is too snowy until mid Summer, EFR is getting close to be ridable.
