Madam, If I understand your question right, my answer will be appropriate to you. In Hindu sanskar, a human will pass through four stages of life. 1. Brahmacharya (pursuing studies), 2...Grihastha (mainting a house - having spouse, children with duties to provide material comfort to children, elderly, rishis, cows, yatris etc.), 3.Vanaprastha (on reaching an elederly age, retreat from active life, to remote places with spouse with very few posessions) and 4. Sanyasa. (during first three stages names do not change, contacts/relationships built can continue - in varied degrees) IN Sanyasa the person assumes a new name (mostly given by his Guru and the Sanyasis adopt asetic order. Change of name also means it is a new life, and all the bondings, relationships of the past get cut off. (exception only towards performing last rites to mother)
Large number of Sanyasins, take up Sanyas order after Brahmacharya stage - wtihout going through Grihastha or vansprstha stage. Getting called by the name given by parents (used till taking up sanyasas) after becoming Sanyasi, is an affront in a way - as the person is trying to pull a Sanyasi back to his past life (purvashrama) i.e. prior to taking up Sanyasa. This is not to be done and this a duty of the society to a Sanyasi who has given up all bondings with a solemn promise work for society for common good without bondings. Regards
