Honestly while the situation absolutely sucks I do believe Jasmine the VA director just genuinely forgot. We gotta remember these are human beings and while that doesn’t justify what happened I don’t think it is a sign of Glitch being shady. Just a reminder that this is still an indie company and one that made it big meaning more work. The best course of action would probably be to hire another VA Director not to (ironically) replace Jasmine but just someone to split the work. I dunno just spitting my thoughts on the matter from my perspective.
I know, everyone.. I can't believe GLITCH would do this to Celeste. First, Sega replaced all of the 4kids Voice Cast with new voice actors ever since Sonic and The Black Knight in 2009, Then Steve Burton (the VA for Cloud Strife) got replaced by Cody Christian for Final Fantasy 7, and then the entire pilot Voice Cast for Hazbin Hotel got replaced with a Broadway Cast! 😡
Just this being the truth would be painful from a personal standpoint, because of Jasmine's status as a writer for both SMG4 (including Western Spaghetti) and Meta Runner. This wasn't some oblivious new hire. Besides Luke and Kevin, she was probably the most involved in fleshing out Tari's story. Probably more since she was the lead writer from MR S2 onwards. So yeah if this work is really that demanding for somebody like Jasmine can't do it alone, then they need more backup.

I remember this drama fully. GLITCH obviously should have 100% told celeste about being replaced as a VA of a character, This is a thing which you cant "forget". All tho the people who sent death threats and even doxxed Kevin and Lottie over this is even worse than the character Tari getting her VA replaced. I think the reason Meggy's VA got a goodbye message and Celeste didn't is because Meggys VA is way bigger then Celeste. I mean think about it, if Meggys VA got replaced for no reason everyone would be more pissed at Glitch then what happened with Celeste but since she is pretty much a nobody in the VA industry, Glitch thought they could get away with it without anyone noticing nor caring. And guess what? Not alot of people did notice outside of the Smg4/Glitch community. Also most people have said that Luke isn't the problem, it's Kevin. Oh and in her statement, Celeste said that Luke apologised to her he just didn't give a reason as to why she was fired. Edit: I should probably say that this has no proof and was just one of the theorys when the drama happened.

The worst thing is that the way New Tari talks its as if theyre intentionally telling her to sound more like Celeste. As if they didnt actually want to replace her but did it anyway
One thing I remember was that they was a strange situation, because tari original voice was in they only used clips But as SMG4 evolved they started to do full voice acting for almost all the characters.(now keep in mind that SMG4 is a meme series, so there’s also meme voice lines put into it so that’s how the voice acting’s been,for a while which is why SMG4 voice acting is weird) Tari soon started to go back-and-forth between Clips and voice acting but at the time the SMG4 channel was confused on how the voice should be. that I think the situation got messy real fast it probably was also messy because they weren’t really working on any big projects with her or were becoming distanced. So they change the voice to have full voice acting because they probably were concerned with the ability to get her to do full voice acting.
It's a job. If you can't show up and something needs to be made, you generally just get replaced. If you don't respect the original arrangement, you get fired. This is such trivial drama bro, it's basic stuff.

Yeah, when the whole thing went down originally I thought "Well that sucks." But especially coming from the Sonic Fandom where his voice actors is changed out every other week and how much people talk about the voices in the fandom, I'm just pretty jaded to this type of thing. Does it suck, yes. But is it irreparable? Hardly. People should just stop being so petty over the tiniest things. It really bugs me.
We have a right to be livid if the company mistreats a mother in the current day, in a nation with limited opportunities no less, to the point that the affected voice actress loses her passion of her acting talent. The doxxer is responsible for making things worse and should be tried (and treated) as a terrorist, but the main offender in all this is Kevin Lerdwichagul for his incompetence as a CEO. It was pretty telling when positions for Human Resources is open, suggesting there were no failsafes to ensure negligence of this degree never happen in the first place.

Glitch productions and SMG4 may be run by the same guys, but they are not the same thing. One is a full studio with original works, and one is a mario parody animation youtube channel. The original series the VA's took part of ended ages ago, this is the equivalent of commission fan work, only its run by the same people. This is not something to flip out about, and has no impact on the inde animation industry.

That's completely irrelevant, it's just incredibly scummy to replace one of your oldest VAs without a farewell message or even a warning... Also SMG4 is wayyy more than just a '"Mario parody channel" in the year 2024, hell half of the characters aren't even from Nintendo anymore. Before the drama happened, Celeste's voicelines had still been used for years at this point, as much as Kevin would like treat SMG4 like a side project, it's still very much a full on business that needs to be handled properly, and officially speaking it still falls under Glitch Productions.

My theory is that they wanted a more high pitch more "cute" voice in the movie western spaghetti movie idk if is js me or the voice direction js sounded super high pitch for to me and ig Glitch thought that Celeste was too mature for SMG4 Tari and thats why the wanted a new more high pitch annoying voice for her but yea thats js my guess
I never knew this, but now knowing rubs me the wrong way a voice actor got replaced by a bigger voice actor for no apparent reason. Of course since it happened a while ago and hopefully they'll learn from a bad mistake like that and be more communicative and clear, so it's not like it's gonna ruin the shows for me and i can't watch MD and TADC without thinking about that one situation. Lets just hope it doesn't happen again to any other hard working VAs 🙏

I understand that metarunner is a really old series but tari has been apart of glitch since the very beginning… like back when smg4 had less than 3 mil. Meta runner got me into indie animation back when I first watched it in 2019 and it makes me sad seeing Tari being cut like this
If I were to replace a voice actor, I would state my reason(s) first and then let them know that he have been replaced. Even if said voice actor does respond to the news well, that would still save everyone the confusion of him going in when another has already took his position.

This situation depresses me, it's just a massively fucked situation all around especially because it literally went nowhere. -We never got a true answer as to why Celeste was just so abruptly fired, or why she wasn't given a proper goodbye like Lizzie Freeman after she was no longer meggy's voice actress. -Celeste has (in her words) "lost love for the industry" because of this situation, which is something really sad to happen to a voice actress, who knows what career she'll have to persue next. -Glitch productions was seen as the saving grace for indie animators and if stuff like this proceeds to happen then the indie animation industry is doomed. -Meta runner was one of my favorites and filled me with that "once a show you like ends you feel empty inside" kind of feeling, and to hear all of the issues of glitch productions come from people who worked on meta runner makes me upset. -The situation unfortunately had to be stopped because someone on twitter was threatening to doxx Kevin and leak his IP address (which might also be Luke's since they are brothers who run a company) as well as people constantly harassing glitch productions workers with death threats (as mentoned in kevin's response) I remember ever since I gave up on my dreams of being a game designer after learning about how much dogshit video game companies in the industry are, my other idea for a dream job was working at glitch productions. But now ever since this I've tossed that dream job in the trash too and now I've just given up on even having a dream job.

This confused the hell out of me, and being an OG fan of SMG4 and GLITCH was very dissapointed and upset when I heard the drama. It's just so weird that this happened in the first place, like how do you even replace an important VA like Celeste without any warning ??? Did Jasmine even consult Luke and Kevin before making the call ??? Last time we saw them on camera, Celeste and the rest of the Meta Runner crew were on extremely good terms with them, so it seems really odd for them to just "forget" to inform the VA of the main chararacter of GLITCH's very first series, especially since you'd at least expect them to give her a quick farewell message or something after being a part of the company for so long.
While I do think ot was a big mistake to replace Celeste without telling her, I believe that it was that, a mistake, I believe Jazmine genuenly forgot to tell her, and Robin didn't handled the situation well if you ask me, quitting on spot instead of asking your boss "Yo, what the hell happened here?" before doing something drastic?, That's wasn't an smart move at all As for the overworked employees, some of them filled complains on a review page, and Kevin acknowledged them saying that he was genuenly sorry for all that, although he wasn't going to tolerate the slander some of them made against him nor against the artists currently working on GLITCH that are actually enjoying their work there (and yeah, some of those complains called Kevin an abusive leech that only hired artists that were popular despite their talent, which is just plain mean) And as for the poster, aparently they couldn't port Tari's and SP Meggy's models to the new engine they're using for their current shows without the whole thing imploding on itself so they improvised

You are totally right but the point still stands; the VA was not told that she was fired and that's what's wrong with the situation. Honestly, from the way the girl who talked to the VA told the situation, it didn't seem like a simple "You're not doing your job properly," situation, but that's just what I think.
Yeah, when the whole thing went down originally I thought "Well that sucks." But especially coming from the Sonic Fandom where his voice actors is changed out every other week and how much people talk about the voices in the fandom, I'm just pretty jaded to this type of thing. Does it suck, yes. But is it irreparable? Hardly. People should just stop being so petty over the tiniest things. It really bugs me.
We have a right to be livid if the company mistreats a mother in the current day, in a nation with limited opportunities no less, to the point that the affected voice actress loses her passion of her acting talent.

Glitch productions and SMG4 may be run by the same guys, but they are not the same thing.
One is a full studio with original works, and one is a mario parody animation youtube channel.
The original series the VA's took part of ended ages ago, this is the equivalent of commission fan work, only its run by the same people.
This is not something to flip out about, and has no impact on the inde animation industry.

That's completely irrelevant, it's just incredibly scummy to replace one of your oldest VAs without a farewell message or even a warning... Also SMG4 is wayyy more than just a '"Mario parody channel" in the year 2024, hell half of the characters aren't even from Nintendo anymore. Before the drama happened, Celeste's voicelines had still been used for years at this point, as much as Kevin would like treat SMG4 like a side project, it's still very much a full on business that needs to be handled properly, and officially speaking it still falls under Glitch Productions.

The SMG4 merch store is also under the Glitch merch website. It *IS* under the company name, it has been for over 5 years at this point.
My theory is that they wanted a more high pitch more "cute" voice in the movie western spaghetti movie idk if is js me or the voice direction js sounded super high pitch for to me and ig Glitch thought that Celeste was too mature for SMG4 Tari and thats why the wanted a new more high pitch annoying voice for her but yea thats js my guess

I never knew this, but now knowing rubs me the wrong way a voice actor got replaced by a bigger voice actor for no apparent reason.
Of course since it happened a while ago and hopefully they'll learn from a bad mistake like that and be more communicative and clear, so it's not like it's gonna ruin the shows for me and i can't watch MD and TADC without thinking about that one situation.
Lets just hope it doesn't happen again to any other hard working VAs 🙏

If I were to replace a voice actor, I would state my reason(s) first and then let them know that he have been replaced. Even if said voice actor does respond to the news well, that would still save everyone the confusion of him going in when another has already took his position.

This situation depresses me, it's just a massively fucked situation all around especially because it literally went nowhere.
-We never got a true answer as to why Celeste was just so abruptly fired, or why she wasn't given a proper goodbye like Lizzie Freeman after she was no longer meggy's voice actress.
-Celeste has (in her words) "lost love for the industry" because of this situation, which is something really sad to happen to a voice actress, who knows what career she'll have to persue next.
-Glitch productions was seen as the saving grace for indie animators and if stuff like this proceeds to happen then the indie animation industry is doomed.
-Meta runner was one of my favorites and filled me with that "once a show you like ends you feel empty inside" kind of feeling, and to hear all of the issues of glitch productions come from people who worked on meta runner makes me upset.
-The situation unfortunately had to be stopped because someone on twitter was threatening to doxx Kevin and leak his IP address (which might also be Luke's since they are brothers who run a company) as well as people constantly harassing glitch productions workers with death threats (as mentoned in kevin's response)
I remember ever since I gave up on my dreams of being a game designer after learning about how much dogshit video game companies in the industry are, my other idea for a dream job was working at glitch productions. But now ever since this I've tossed that dream job in the trash too and now I've just given up on even having a dream job.

This confused the hell out of me, and being an OG fan of SMG4 and GLITCH was very dissapointed and upset when I heard the drama. It's just so weird that this happened in the first place, like how do you even replace an important VA like Celeste without any warning ??? Did Jasmine even consult Luke and Kevin before making the call ??? Last time we saw them on camera, Celeste and the rest of the Meta Runner crew were on extremely good terms with them, so it seems really odd for them to just "forget" to inform the VA of the main chararacter of GLITCH's very first series, especially since you'd at least expect them to give her a quick farewell message or something after being a part of the company for so long.

While I do think ot was a big mistake to replace Celeste without telling her, I believe that it was that, a mistake, I believe Jazmine genuenly forgot to tell her, and Robin didn't handled the situation well if you ask me, quitting on spot instead of asking your boss "Yo, what the hell happened here?" before doing something drastic?, That's wasn't an smart move at all
As for the overworked employees, some of them filled complains on a review page, and Kevin acknowledged them saying that he was genuenly sorry for all that, although he wasn't going to tolerate the slander some of them made against him nor against the artists currently working on GLITCH that are actually enjoying their work there (and yeah, some of those complains called Kevin an abusive leech that only hired artists that were popular despite their talent, which is just plain mean)
And as for the poster, aparently they couldn't port Tari's and SP Meggy's models to the new engine they're using for their current shows without the whole thing imploding on itself so they improvised
One thing im still confused on is did Luke amd Kevin even know since you did say one of them made an apology but it was half assed so kinda confused on that still.
I ain't losing hoping that Glitch will apologize to Celeste in the future. But I have to disagree with you on saying Kevin's apology was half-assed since he was inexperienced and overwhelmed when he started the company, plus he acknowledged and apologized to the workers who were overworked by him.

I believe that if & when there is a Google Doc exposing just how shady GLITCH is, the drama will explode. Between this, the glassdoor reviews, & Collin lasting only a year as a writer for SMG4, there is a ton of shady stuff with GLITCH behind the scenes that we don't even know about, I feel like this Tari ish is just the beginning.
