Scenic Highway: Superior, AZ, to Show Low, AZ. Hwy 60.

The drive from Superior, Arizona, east of Phoenix, to Show Low, Arizona on Highway 60 passes through some marvelous scenery, from desert landscape to thick forests. It includes two very scenic stops: The Salt River Canyon Rest Area and the Salt River Canyon View Point. This is one of my favorite Arizona drives, and I take it when I am heading from Mesa back home to South Dakota.
The highway passes through the San Carlos Reservation and the Fort Apache Reservation.
