As an employee of a heavy industry company that was bought by a Japanese Company be aware that Japanese culture does not understand collective bargaining and believes that being loyal to a union and also loyal to the company at the same time is not possible. I assure you-----it will not be the same!

Well that Japanese steel company is one of the top steel companies in the world and superior to US steel in many ways.
And they will make US Steel a better company all the way around.

If the union and elected officials are smart they will push Nippon to modernize mon valley works. The site is ideal for industrial development.

Nippon Steel says they will not lay off anyone. Moreover, the asking price is an unprecedented price.
US Steel, which can't do business in their current state, has no choice but to look for other acquisition targets in order to survive. However, no company has been found in the last 10 years that can offer better conditions than these.
Steel is heavy, so it takes a huge amount to transport.
Nippon Steel's objective is to believe that it is cheaper to make products in America and sell them there than to make products in Japan and ship them to America.

Glad the union is concerned about all of the facilities that have blast furnaces... I guess they forgot about all of the lay offs in Granite.
