Only 4 cruises in 20 years. First one on HAL. We truly loved it. More elegant in MDR with higher end meals. Our teenaged girls even had a great time. The others have all been on Royal. We never got into the bells and whistles but have great memories of all of them.

My very first cruise was on the Carnival Fascination, and even though I really like MSC and love Princess & Royal, Carnival is still my favorite line due to it’s ethnic diversity, customer service, entertainment and the vast array of included dining options as well as comparable specialty restaurants.

I've been on six different lines, but as a solo, Celebrity is by far my favorite. It depends on what's important to the person and/or their family and friends. There is pretty much something for everyone. They just need to do their homework.

My husband and I took our 1st cruise in 2018 on Carnival Inspiration (R.I.P.) out Long Beach headed for Catalina Island and Ensenada. Now, we haven't been on any of Carnival's longer itineraries yet so we can't fully judge Carnival but we've found ourselves to be NCL folk.

That's a fair summary of the various options thanks Jamie. We've tried and loved them all. Never allow petty stuff to ruin a cruise and don't listen to your fellow passengers who always look for something to complain about. The opportunity to cruise is a privilege that not everyone can afford to enjoy.

My first cruise was the Carnival Ecstasy. I enjoyed it and have cruised Carnival again as well as Norwegian. My take on Carnival being called the Walmart of cruise lines is that Walmart is a successful business. Both companies have their haters, but they must be doing something right to have continued success. With that, I need to find my socks and shoes so I can head to my local Walmart 🤑.

Our first cruise was on the Disney Magic and we only cruised with Disney for a while. We tried Royal when our kid was 9 and it became our fav for a few years. Went back on Disney when our older was 13 and he’s now decided he prefers Disney again, the older he gets the more he notices things like superior service, great included food etc. Plus, currently likes the Disney teen clubs the most Having said that we like both lines and also recently tried Carnival. (Mardi Gras). It was ok but super crowded with lines everywhere and so that has put us off a bit. Though it’s definitely not the Walmart of the Seas lol. Ship was beautiful and service was overall really good! We have the Sun Princess coming up and maybe HAL Rotterdam (Christmas cruise) just to try something else.

    Great video!
First cruise was Carnival (Splendor) out of NYC. Loved it! But I moved on to NCL. The ships, entertainment quality, price, and port accessibility are key.
Still, I’m giving Carnival another go: The Venezia out of NYC this October. Then Princess next year.🌞

I first want to say I really appreciate your informational videos. You do a great job. My 1st cruise in 2011 was Carnival Ecstasy. Since then I've done 14 Carnival, 1 Royal, 8 Celebrity and 1 Holland. Celebrity is my favorite but Carnival is less expensive and easier for us as we live an hour from Port Canaveral. But We've decided to branch out a bit and we have another Royal, a Princess and MSC booked for this year. For us Holland was a 1 and done. Even as Seniors it was too dull for us. Again thanks for the great videos. Love you and Sharon!

Our first cruise was on RCL Vision of the seas and we were hooked. Did two more on RCL and the did three on NCL, a princess cruise to the panama canal, NCl to icleland, Princess to spain, and our last cruise was on NCL Shy to the southern Caribbean. We pick Cruise lines and ship buy destination and not loyal any onecruise lines.

First cruise I took was right after the first Gulf War onboard Royal Caribbean’s Song of Norway, which was old when I sailed on her, and had been “stretched” to enlarge her. We had 2 days of rough Caribbean weather; everyone got sick including the crew, and you felt every bump, swirl, churn and spin 😅I said that if I got back on dry land I’d never cruse again. Of course I have! I’ve used RCCL, NCL, Carnival. I have my first Alaska/first Princess cruise booked for 2025 and doing the new Norwegian Viva in 2026. I’d still love to do Oceania or Cunard too as I get older and want a more “upscale” but fun experience. But I’m so glad the Song of Norway didn’t ruin cruising for me! 😁

People get so tribal about their favorite Cruise lines. I think everyone has different likes and dislikes in life and in Cruise lines. I personally like trying all different Cruise lines. While I don't travel Carnival as much as I used to now that the children I traveled with have grown and it's mostly me and my sister, my next cruise is the Carnival Venezia.

Do I want to go back to the Bahamas? I have found more welcoming and accomodating people in other ports. But, that cruise opened the door to a passion that will be with me forever! Love your content SAST!!! safe travels! And looking forward to more content. God bless!

We are big fans of Carnival. Our first cruise was with Carnival Elation back in 2015. We have always enjoyed our cruises with them and had the most fun with them. RCL were our least favourite, although I want to stress that all of the big 3 have beautiful ships and are fun. We just enjoy the vibe more with Carnival. That being said, we have our first Holland America cruise coming up in September to Alaska and are excited to try a new cruise line with a different feel!

My 1st cruise was on my honeymoon in 1997 on Carnival. It wasn't the wrong cruise line it was the wrong husband. Lol 😅 Since then I have been on 2 Celebrity cruises and LOVE them. Perfect for my age. I am 58 and disabled and the service, food and entertainment was fantastic. I don't have the energy at this time in my life to go on Carnival but it was great in my 20's and 30"s.

Texan here, so I cruise out of Galveston most of the time. Terminal is only a 4 hour drive. For FUN and Guy's Burgers (yes folks;they're THAT GOOD!) we (old farts) cruise Carnival. If I 'm in the mood for a little class that's not pretentious I'll head to either Florida or California to cruise on Holland America. They have a big emphasis on music and I love BB King.

Man, I wish our Carnival experience would have been better. We sailed on the Dream b2b last May on a casino offer and it was so freaking bad my husband refuses to sail with them again. Guys (both burgers and bbq) were the worst things we have ever eaten and we tried it twice just to be sure. Good thing we had good ports to make up for the lackluster ship experience. I will say the one thing Carnival excels at is comedy. We did enjoy that.

    • @julietaylor2497

@@kens805 We took a big gap in cruising to take care of family members. Our first 2 were Carnival, followed by RCL, then the gap. After the pandemic when we started cruising again we tried NCL, and it was good. The food was certainly better. Then we decided to try Carnival again. Huge mistake. Even the Carnival loyals (platinum and up) were telling us how bad it was and we should try another ship. That bad.
Next up is HAL for an Alaska land/sea followed by NCL to take us back to Vancouver. We'll see how all that works out. I'm open to trying other lines. We liked NCL but are willing to try other lines. We'll find the right fit or we'll bounce around, whatever works.

Our first cruise was about 20 years ago on Princess in Alaska. We really liked it and this carried through to another Princess cruise a few years later in the Caribbean. A few years later we went to the Med. on MSC which we will never do again (the food was mediocre the service was worse and the entertainment was not the greatest either). A few years later we were on a Cuban cruise with Norwegian where I booked a Hawaiian cruise on the Pride of America. This unfortunately was canceled due to COVID. The reduction of COVID saw us on Norwegian again with an Iceland cruise. Now this October we will be on the Pride of America. So Norwegian yes (though they nickel and dime you to death. Princess yes, though they are less for the same price as Norwegian, and a no on MSC. As to Carnival no I have not been on them but with the reputation as being the booze cruise ship, I think we can safely say that we will not be booking them either. We would like to go on the STAR TREK cruise so we might get on a Royal Caribbean cruise one of these days. We will be expanding our horizons after the Hawaiian trip.
