Mine too, because for the past year I got really captivated by the new trend of "Funkified" Beatles covers (and other more or less glorious vintage stuff), but couldn't help note that the quite likable "Love Raptor" bunch were generally runners-up in the specialty, of "Scary Pockets", in terms of level of originality, and quality and Beatles-exceptional-musicality-compatible arrangements... ...and this one in particular (of a particularly appreciated title that I've been covering myself for decades with always the same joy!) is the absolute best I've seen and heard from the "Love Raptor", easily on a par with "Jack and Ryan and friends" at their best! :clap: Everyone delivers their best performance, the arrangement is very tight and punchy, the video editing and production is striking, the sax solo and double-tracked licks are very exciting... Love it, hearty congratulations to the group, I've been taking my joyful dose of perky Sammy Rae and the funky bunch several times a week for a month, give us more like this one and I'll happily buy something to concretely show my appreciation! :))
I had a wild thought to see how many youtube covers of this song there are, and out of all of them I watched this is clearly the absolute best. What fun you guys must've had putting this together during quarantine!! Absolute talent oozing from every instrument, and the vocals are a spot on mix of note-for-note cover and great funky embellishments. This is what all great covers are - the same song but with added little surprises that make it different. This sounds great all through, and the mixing job was very well done. Sterling job, folks (shhhh - I think I like this better than the original). Thank you.
