In this interview Prashant keeps talking about Congress wining the 2019 election. Why such an old interview is being shown now. The ground realities are vastly different today. We are in 2021 and will soon be facing the 2024 elections. Let's talk about the Congress strategy to win the 2024 elections, it at all.
The only question congress has to ask itself is ‘What does it want India to be in 2030’. If they can articulate that to the voters, they have some chance to win. If I was Congress I would do this - UCC by 2025, 90% Indians access to fresh drinking water, internet access to all, Indian economy of 8$T by 2030, elimination of abject poverty, 2 child policy across India, no changes to Lok sabha and Rajya Sabha seats till 2050, eliminations of laws that don’t help industry and criminal laws, elimination of all laws that differentiate Indians based on caste and religion and sewer connections to 90% of Indian that is managed right. Road connectivity is already being done by Modi.
No strategy can work now.

When Mr Kishore says that Modi has the courage to be daring, I would say it doesn't take courage to be "daring". After all there is minimal risk involved when you have all the state institutions at your command and you are prepared to even undermine their sanctity by using them to suppress dissension ruthlessly. Civil servants leaving the profession as a mark of protest is not a new phenomenon. Harsh Mander, rights activist and former IAS officer, quit in the wake of post-Godhra riots in Gujarat after 22 years in service.
Social activist Aruna Roy quit the service in 1974. In an interview to a newspaper in 2011, Roy had spoken about her seven years in the IAS. “There is no situation when one doesn’t learn, but what my IAS years taught me was what I didn’t want to do. I also learned about the notion of power and arrogance that comes with a government job,” she’d said.
