Kim's Convenience is CBC (Canadian network) and on netflix I believe but I don't have netflix right now. As for the upshaws, I have never laughed at any of Omar Epps characters in movies and tv shows. It is a netflix show. I don't find him funny to be honest. The Upshaws is scored 6.9 out of 10 on IMDB.
They say you're not a real New Yorker until you've done a few things like master the bus system (not the subway), steal someone's cab, see Woody Allen, etc. In LA, you're not a real Angelino until you've had a run-in with Andy Dick. My Andy Dick experience was sitting next to him on a flight from LAX > JFK. He talked my ear off the whole flight (in a good way). We had a really good conversation. After the flight we walked together to the ground transportation and then he gave me his cell number and asked me to be his guest at the premier for "Division III" (some straight to DVD movie he was in). I didn't take him up on the offer for obvious reasons but I still have his phone number lol.
Division III Footballs Finest is genuinely such a funny movie. Don't blame you for not taking him up on that though lol. He 100% would have had your face licked 😂
The Andy Dick show on MTV was absolute gold. And his character on Old School was over the top funny. The guy has insane comedic talent but alcoholism has handcuffed his ceiling and opportunities.
I thought I was the only person who liked The Andy Dick Show! His impression of Matthew Lesko is what won me over... what a bizarre choice to do that guy.
I own the complete series of Newsradio on DVD, it's a classic sitcom. I really enjoyed that series with each cast Dave Foley, Stephen Root, Vickie Lewis, Maura Tierney, Andy Dick, Khandi Alexander and the great actor/comedian which we all miss Phil Hartman. That episode of Bill Moves On, really got to me and seeing the real tears from the cast as they read the letters of what Phil Hartman/Bill McNeil would say to them. That's also the reason I wanted to keep Newsradio, because it's the only series Phil Hartman was in the most before he past on. But I forgot to mention that Jon Lovitz was a great pick after Phil Hartman passed away, to come work on Newsradio, as him and Phil Hartman were great friends like brothers, not just working together on SNL but, hanging out as buddies. Including they often spent Thanksgiving and other holidays together.

News Radio remains my favorite sitcom ever. Me and my best friend used to call eachother and watch it in high school when it came on late night. Some of the best memories were in those conversations and laughing together at that show.
I have just watched the whole series with my 32yo daughter and we laughed as much as her father and I laughed when it was new on television.. Vale PH 🙏🏼

He worked with Jim Varney on a movie before jim got sick and could only do voice over work, Varney's opinion of him was basically: "he's an irresponsible asshole and I hate being around him" and jim was renound for his patience towards costars.
There was a scene on Newsradio with Andy Dick where he mispronounces Joey Buttafuoco's name and it's hilarious! He comes out of the studio and Dave Foley says: "Matthew, I think you mispronounced that man's name and several times during the story you just did" He says : "i did? how did I say it?" Dave Foley says : "About the worst possible way you could have" And as a 23 year radio veteran I just lost it laughing because I pictured him saying "Buttafucko" The whole rest of the episode he was slowly pronouncing the name correctly : "Butta- fooooooo- Cooooo!" just walking around randomly saying it and it too was hilarious!

I happened to meet Andy Dick (on a good day I guess) and he was incredibly sweet and funny.
When he's sober he's a very nice person and when he's drunk he's not. That simple in his case.
