    Agree with lots of the other comments Harrison is a great young man and so good to have King Billy there with you. I’m sure there were lots of mixed feelings as you all said goodbye. Great episode.

    Great content gang been watching for a while now I remember staying in Exmouth 25 years ago and all the caravans were chained down!!yo should go to Daly river pub and stay that’s where I caught my 6 kg Barra!they also had a pet croc called Boris🤣👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺

      Hey Brant, thanks for following along 😊. Yeah, they don't offer the strap down service anymore. Unfortunately, the caravan parks kick you out now. It's a public liability nightmare for the parks.
      Woowee, that's a bloody great catch 👏 👌 🎣

    Stunning location and I figure Laura, the video wouldn’t be up, if you had a crocodile 🐊 encounter 😬 but by geez I felt really nervous watching. Be careful, they move so very quick, you’d never have a chance. Can’t wait to see NT. Harrison & King Billy are a delight and what a stellar young man he’s becoming. So how much was a full service? Did he say why the tyre was doing what it was? Love hearing that what the forward thinking caravan owners did for you. With Virgin soon allowing dogs to travel on planes, businesses have to move with the times. One in three Australians have dogs that are part of the family. Good on that place and we will be sure to stay there when we travel to Broome. Have a great week guys. Alexandra King Island❤

      the full service was under 500 great value

      @JourneyUnknown  8 місяців тому +1

      Hi Alexandra, Yes, very true 😆. We were reasonably confident when we saw locals swimming in the area. Although you just never know. You're right. More and more companies are allowing dogs, which is such a great result. We don't believe the first wheel alignment was done correctly, unfortunately. The guys in Broome were amazing. They gave the van a full service and wheel alignment for under $500. The van hasn't missed a beat since 🥰

    Hi Laura and Troy and gorgeous Coco
    You are doing a very similar route to what we did some yrs ago. We had a semi off road van, no solar and untill we got to Darwin we had no genie either which in turn meant no washing machine or AC till we got 240 power. I needed to get sheets washed and a load of clothing. Due to the heat this lead to me needing AC for my then 3 yr old to sleep and for me to not go mad.
    We stayed at Fitzroy River and it was beautiful, then we went on to Halls Creek and opted for staying at the caravan park. We had an older little dog. Although we were told not to leave anything out overnight, hubby forgot to bring in the esky, it had ice, water bottles and Cans of lemonade (Tarax black lable lemonade)
    Early hours of the morning around 2.30 am I was woken with my husband yelling profanity out the window, telling whome ever was there to.leave. then I heard glass breaking and a woman screaming. We were outside and seen some "local" youths running away. Our car had been broken into, the esky was in another caravan site missing a few Cans and some bottled water. It was still dark. The couple camping nearby were sleeping in the back of their vehicle as the towed a big boat. Someone had smashed the front passenger window and snatched her handbag. Police were called and once they arrived, they said they possibly know who was responsible as it was likely a local lad and his mates/gang/mob but not being able to prove it. They said the kids would be back most likely once police left.
    I was asked to search my car to find out what was stolen.
    Wifi device, prescription sunglasses, cold and flu tablets, some water and lemonade Cans (police said that in the rush the lemonade would of been mistaken for bourbon and coke as it was a similar can) 1 unopened packet of sanitary pads, lady police officer said they use pads and baby nappies to put petrol on it and sniff it. The chemicals in the pads and nappies give a high for longer its a common item stolen. They missed the case of beer in the back I think they were disturbed before getting that far back.
    We left just before 5.30am not wanting to go back to bed. The police said it was very common as they knew tourists were easy targets. We count ourselves so lucky for almost no damage, side window weathersheild was broken and needed replacing and because the window was forced down the electric windows control needed replacing. When we got to Darwin we got it fixed and I was told the nick name for Halls Creek is hells Creek.
    If you do stay at Halls Creek or anywhere around there please be diligent and double check everything is locked up and put away

      Holly Molely! That sounds like an absolute horror experience! Wow! I’m so glad there wasn’t too much damage and you & hubby weren’t hurt. It turns out that we didn’t and up going there and sounds like that was the right decision.

    How does the Van tow now. And did they say what was the problem with the camber of the van, did the camber bolt come loose, 🙈🤷‍♂️ , the crocodiles 🐊 must be such a big worry the further you go north.
    Take care 😎🍺🍹

    I would have thought the Box Jelly fish and Irukandji were also an issue up that way? Not just Crocs. It seems people are more concerned about the inland crocs in waterholes, creeks and rivers rather than the coast where there is more ability to avoid them due to wide open spaces. Crocs seem territorial.

    • @JourneyUnknown
      @JourneyUnknown  8 місяців тому

    How frig’n stunning is Broome and Cable Beach. I suppose with regards to the muddy like sand, in one point that sand is how old???🤔🤔🤔 and doesn’t get replenished like at a more populated and used beach nor is it like port Phillip bay or western port ( which is not a bay as it’s got 2 entrances and exits, a bay only has one entrance and exit ). There’s something wrong with some caravan parks, as you said that c/p doesn’t have pet friendly cabins, they probably only need 1 or 2. It’s great they “ came to the party “ letting you stay in the cabin with Coco, you shouldn’t have had to use the pool being out of action, just to get the cabin, how “ petty are they?? “. Be careful at Fitzroy Crossing, as far as I know that river is full of “ snapping handbags🐊🐊 “…..🤔🤪😜😂. You need to throw a party 🎉🍷🍺🥂🥃🎉 when you cross the border into the NT. Safe travels as it’s now just the 3 of you.

    • @JourneyUnknown
      @JourneyUnknown  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes interesting about the sand and something we’re not used to in the southern states. Hopefully the caravan park will get some pet friendly cabins across the line soon. We didn’t end up going to Fitzroy Crossing but you’ll find out more about that on the next episode.

    Just a tip with washing machines as I work at a laundromat with similar machines. It’s better to put pods inside machine, as coating doesn’t always breakdown in drawer. Also just another thing…always take paper towel and something to disinfect as it’s amazing how disgusting people can be when it’s not their own !!

    • @JourneyUnknown
      @JourneyUnknown  8 місяців тому

      Ahh thank you, good to know about the pods. And yes, great idea about the washing machines. Luckily it was the off season so there wasn’t anyone there when we went.
