We paddled Massassauga many years ago, looking forward to returning with the kids for more exploring! That beaver dam is incredible!

In my short backcountry experience I have seen a few, and gone over a couple with my kayak, but never would have imagined anything like that! It was basically holding back a freaking lake! I know there are bigger ones out there, but this was pretty damn cool to see in person.

Hey, what type of life jacket are you wearing? And how do you have your front GoPro setup? Is it glued?

The PFD the MEC Fulcrum Guide. For the GoPro, I have two of those sticky mounts glued to the top of the kayak. One all the way to the front, and one closer to the cockpit. I also put a leash made from paracord on the GoPro, just in case. I’ve bumped the mount with the paddle once, and it could’ve been a disaster…go to Episode 2, 3:30 mark, you’ll see the view I get from the mount I put in the front of the boat, further from me. That setup is made possible with a DIY extension made from 3 Home Depot paint stirrers glued together - they’re the same width as the GoPro mount. 😁
