The truth is most players don't know how to play, they don't know how to defend, they don't know how to attack, so some players develop a strategy that works against players that don't know how to play like themselves, in this case the low blows, this probably gives him a lot of wins against low level players, but against someone that does know how to play, in this case, someone that know how to defend and how to attack, that tactic can be easily countered.
