It totally depends on your hair type and climate. For wavy hair the effect will last longer than curly hair. And also if the climate is humid like during monsoons the effect will last for 4 to 5 hrs. Otherwise your hair may stay naturally straight for 1 full day as well. Please make sure you use a medium to strong hold hair spray after straightening your hair to help the effect stay longer. Hope this helps.
What to apply for heat resistance and after that the seal spray please
You can use any heat protectant spray like wella proffessional, schwarzkopf, bblunt, toni and guy. Then after heat styling you can use loreal serum or livon serum or streax serum or biolage serum

Heat protectant is a must whenever you style your hair.Though if you use heat styling tools regularly then you will dry up your hair in the long run even if you use a protectant along with it. Bblunt, tresseme, schwarkopf, wella professional, moroccanoil perfect defense(expensive), livon heat protectant serum, toni and guy, loreal extraordinary serum are some good heat protectant
