- Hundreds of Israeli troops backed by helicopters, drones and armoured personnel carriers raided the flashpoint cities of Jenin and Tulkarm and other areas in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, killing at least 11 Palestinians.
The assault, one of the largest seen in the West Bank for months, followed a series of smaller raids in the area over recent weeks as Israeli forces sought to crush groups of fighters from Palestinian militant groups.
“I entered the house to find it all damaged from the inside,” said Masoud Naaja, a Palestinian father near Tubas. “My wife asked me what happened, I told her and asked her to go check on our children on the rooftop. When she moved to the rooftop, she found three of our children - Two, may they rest in peace, and one was injured.”
Israeli Prime Minister's Office (PMO) spokesperson David Mancer said that "in Jenin, three armed terrorists who posed a threat to our forces were eliminated in (an) aerial strike. In Jenin and Tulkarm, our forces eliminated two more armed terrorists."

And how does that working out? The Palestinian" population has gone up about 5x over the last 60 years or so. Most of the ones that were killed are Hamas, and unfortunately, as in any war, some civilians (often because Hamas puts them in harm's way).

Moreover, even polls conducted by Palestinians show that a predominant majority of Gaza inhabitants supported this onslaught. So this suffering is self-inflicted I'm afraid.

This most probably is a legit operation, but if reducing suffering is the end goal, there needs to be a proper intelligence disclosure from the Israeli gov to win global public trust, like pictures videos, etc after major attacks on cities. Or at least promise of disclosure at some point. Maybe I haven't searched hard enough. Otherwise, this will continue because this conflict is putting good people against each other around the world.
