I would love to see the big big waves. The best time to do it is during the Winter between November and February. But regardless of the waves, the place is very beautiful and the town is really nice, you should definitely check it out :)

Thank you. That video was quite informative. Is that 2nd beach you showed where the waves would be bigger in winter still accessible on foot at that season? I don't believe I have ever seen any footage of the swells from the beach.
In praia do Norte, when the swells are really big it is a bit risky to be on the beach but it is possible. However, because the waves form behind the cliff you do not have such a good view from the beach as you have from the cliff. That is probably why most videos are filmed from there
