I prayed the Rosary in Latin and it’s as if I was transported to another place and time. It was akin to being within a dream, but that dream was of Our Mother, her Son, and His promises to us. When I finished, it was like awakening from an extremely fulfilling and deep sleep. God and Mary truly do work through that most holy of spiritual weapons the Rosary.
Thank you… I’m very drawn to praying it in Latin; I don’t have great concentration- had a stroke - and can just manage one decade but that’s ok, I think. Can try to increase if I can. There’s something beautifully transporting about the Latin: it’s like understanding the feeling even if I don’t understand all the words… I have the images in my head and they blend together. Literal context and interpretation of the Bible
The main problem with the translations from the Septuagint to Latin then to European languages is the Telephone game. This is why we must read the letters of the Apostolic Fathers, the Early Church Fathers (men who were taught by the apostles which most were made martyrs.), and the early writings like the “Didache” he earliest written document describing how to do a service or mass.
The Christian faith is easy if you follow from the original source not the modern day theologians, teaching a mix of multi denominational extracts and points of interest.
