i suffer from ocd and i am also neurodivergent so it make it difficult to distinguish which is which at times. i hope that each time i pray for others and myself that distinction can become clearer. 🙏🏼

I was a victim of SRA in my formative years. I was diagnosed with OSDD- 1 b, a severe Dissacotiative Disorder that develops to cope with severe and ongoing truama before the age of 8, before the personality is more solidified. I literally came running into the Catholic Church 6 years ago due to the symptoms of OSDD making itself fully known and demonic oppression/ obsession that had been following me on and off since a child. I met key Catholic people along the way since a child and it always stuck to my soul like a healing kiss. I remember (a part of me) wanting to be Catholic since I was 7 coming from an Atheist family. I'm in counseling now with someone trained in severe childhood trauma within my diocese and also went through a spiritual ministry to break the opression/ obsession. I have a ways to go, but my soul is beginning to rise from the malevolent scars that shattered my psyche. God bless you. There is no deeper wound than a sexual wound, especially that of a child. Prayers for your ongoing healing.
I have prayed so many rosaries and begged God to give me my kids and grandchildren back in my life. I have curled up in a ball on the floor of a bare apartment with my cat Callie, letting her be the purring girl that she was. I have hope. A lot of hope. A lot of faith. My youngest child-- my son-- I heard Germany with his wife. I haven't seen him since he went into the military.

I interrupted her behavior as typical, however, dramatic age related outbursts- my bad. But I was as good as I knew how to be.

EXACTLY! The majority of priests pray the rosary so fast it seems like a burden for them; a sort of get er' done prayer. I discovered Father/now Bishop Baron and his "Word On Fire" series years ago; he is so comforting, and knowledgable. I simply love this man for his love of our precious Lord Jesus Christ. Bishop Baron has helped me on my life's journey more than words can express.

I have been Catholic my whole life I started saying the rosary daily four years ago at 76 years old although I went to mass weekly and did all what I thought a Catholic was required to do. I am a totally different person . I read and listen to you Bishop Barron daily, Listen to Father Mike's bible in a year, catechism in a year. Me too, I thought that going to Mass was enough. I started praying the rosary after Easter Sunday 2024. I realized as I am reciting the rosary, I am also praying a personal prayer in my mind for all my loved ones, friends, and the world. It's a surreal experience. The mind is saying another prayer, while the lips are reciting the rosary. It gave me the strength to read the Bible or listen to the 365 Bible in a Day Podcast, pray the Psalms, and do Reconciliation AFTER 7 YEARS! Been kinder and sincere to everyone. I'm like a different person.

What I appreciate so much about Bishop Barron saying the Holy Rosary, is the subtle power he projects in his voice. He doesn’t overexert his voice but he prays with such gentleness yet is articulate and encouraging. I am frail and in poor health, so I can’t always manage to say the whole prayer but Bishop Baron carries me through the Rosary. I was discussing with my spiritual director about the strange power of this sacramental when we pray weighing the meaning of each word, savouring its contents, knowing in our hearts that we are indeed having a conversation with The Holy Trinity and with Our Lady, as well as being aided by an incommensurable number of saints and angels, specially our guardian one. When we feel the prosody of our language and hear our own voice and our beloved family's, friends' and brothers' voices praying the Holy Rosary, something really metaphysical happens. Pagans would probably call it "magical". Several times, I've caught myself moved while praying and I thank Our Lord Jesus Christ and Our Lady For that grace. So, what I was trying to say, without being presumptious or professoral about it is that we can experience that subtle power of bishop Barron. Imagine you are saying those prayers to the very souls of someone you love and I think you will experience that that strange power is a gift of Our Lord. May God protect you and give you health and joy, my friend!

I do not have an explanation but I have proof from my life that daily rosary changed me, maybe it ties the day of the week and my daily thinking with events from the life of Jesus and our loving mother.

EXACTLY! The majority of priests pray the rosary so fast it seems like a burden for them; a sort of get er' done prayer. I discovered Father/now Bishop Baron and his "Word On Fire" series years ago; he is so comforting, and knowledgable. I simply love this man for his love of our precious Lord Jesus Christ. Bishop Baron has helped me on my life's journey more than words can express.

I have been Catholic my whole life I started saying the rosary daily four years ago at 76 years old although I went to mass weekly and did all what I thought a Catholic was required to do. I am a totally different person . I read and listen to you Bishop Barron daily, Listen to Father Mike's bible in a year, catechism in a year. I go to confession more regular but that is still very hard for me, although I have a wonderful priest. Thank you and God bless you 🙏🙏🙏
Me too, I thought that going to Mass was enough. I started praying the rosary after Easter Sunday 2024. I realized as I am reciting the rosary, I am also praying a personal prayer in my mind for all my loved ones, friends, and the world. It's a surreal experience. The mind is saying another prayer, while the lips are reciting the rosary. It gave me the strength to read the Bible or listen to the 365 Bible in a Day Podcast, pray the Psalms, and do Reconciliation AFTER 7 YEARS! Been kinder and sincere to everyone. I'm like a different person.

What I appreciate so much about Bishop Barron saying the Holy Rosary, is the subtle power he projects in his voice. He doesn’t overexert his voice but he prays with such gentleness yet is articulate and encouraging. I am frail and in poor health, so I can’t always manage to say the whole prayer but Bishop Baron carries me through the Rosary. I also like his explanations of each decade of the Rosary as it enables myself to look more deeply into my Soul. What a beautiful Godsend the Bishop is. Thank you, Lord for sending him to us.

I was discussing with my spiritual director about the strange power of this sacramental when we pray weighing the meaning of each word, savouring its contents, knowing in our hearts that we are indeed having a conversation with The Holy Trinity and with Our Lady, as well as being aided by an incommensurable number of saints and angels, specially our guardian one.
When we feel the prosody of our language and hear our own voice and our beloved family's, friends' and brothers' voices praying the Holy Rosary, something really metaphysical happens. Pagans would probably call it "magical".
Several times, I've caught myself moved while praying and I thank Our Lord Jesus Christ and Our Lady For that grace.
So, what I was trying to say, without being presumptious or professoral about it is that we can experience that subtle power of bishop Barron. Imagine you are saying those prayers to the very souls of someone you love and I think you will experience that that strange power is a gift of Our Lord.

I do not have an explanation but I have proof from my life that daily rosary changed me, maybe it ties the day of the week and my daily thinking with events from the life of Jesus and our loving mother.
