Trivial question. To answer that, you need to know: what food is, what food does, and what impact does being unable to taste does.
First of all, food is a series of proteins and vitamins converged together. Second, food provides the proteins and vitamins to your body.
Being unable to taste is literally disabling your tongue's taste buds. Dosen't change anything.
You can also survive without food for more than a week. Water not accounted for. That means, choosing blue would mean; miss an hour and it's game over.
So, it's a personal choice as well, but to have these details in here is handy. It's either eating or not tasting. I personally prefer blue, because, everything changes without taste, except it also dosen't, because food still provides the nutrients and vitamins necessary for our body to function. The only thing that changes is, literally, the taste.
It's either surviving or eating, You'll have to eat either way, but blue lets you survive longer.

On the "be unable to survive without eating something every hour (blue), or be unable to taste anything for the rest of your life (red)" question, how would blue be the better option, every hour means EVERY HOUR including the hour's where you need to sleep and then after enough days of having to wake up every hour at night you would die from lack of sleep.

Actually, if you were to think this out. You could make robotic hands and feet that could do the same things as real ones, or you could add stuff to it. You wouldn't have to eat sonic. You could also develop a machine that turned anything to food no matter what it is or what it's made of by removing the molecules of it and replacing or adjoining them to create a different type of material that has taste and is edible. So, you wouldn't even taste your own hands. Problem solved.
I would say that's unreasonable, but Eggman has made a virus that did essentially the exact opposite once before.
