I clean every gun, after every shooting session. Maybe not necessary but it drives me crazy putting a dirty gun back in the safe. And I thoroughly enjoy the cleaning process

Just picked mine up today, ran 500 rounds through it without a single issue. Incredible gun Springfield

Atlas Gunworks makes one for 55-65$ depending on the finish!

Unecessarily complicated fieldstripping procedure. Why not use a Dawson tool less guide rod instead?

When are these being mass released? The only places I can find them are price gouging big time.

If you want it to work, clean and lubricate to manufacturers specs. Lube all lubrication points to include the feed pawl. Gravity and butt fuzz in the air will negatively affect your lubricant. Wipe down and re apply lubricant. Most problems solved.

Pretty much perfect but you should never drop the slide with the slide lock on an empty chamber. At least not on 1911/2011’s. It’s hard on the trigger group. Other than that, very helpful and efficient.

Watching the brush pulled back through the barrel causes anxiety.

Why not tell us what parts to lube?

How many will admit they will never clean it ?
    I’ll be the first.
    Just shoot and enjoy.
It’s not needed near as much as you think, if any.
We have a local range that has rental guns with well over 50,000 rounds through them with no cleanings and they function flawlessly.
Buy a good gun , shoot decent Ammo and don’t worry about it.

This is definitely going to be one of those guns that will require more maintenance than other guns like strikerfired Glock or Sig.

Guiderod and spring just spins trying to unscrew, feels like someone used an impact to assemble, haven’t even shot the gun yet and already annoyed and disappointed. Very poor design and effort Springfield. If you’re gonna charge $1400 for a handgun you should make sure that’s what it’s worth. DONT BUY.

You do realize the staccato's had more problems when they first came out right? imagine the first run of something not being the final and perfected version of it, crazy right!
