Followed the steps but why does it saying that the layer can't be edited when using the brush tool?

@@rmingming-202 Check if the layer is “locked” (a locked icon on layer). If so, unlock by selecting lock icon above all layers.

What if you want to change an image into white? Like if you have a logo and want to change the color of the text?

Hi, try following the same steps (hue/saturation adjustment), but increase the "lightness" level to 100.

i tried that and the back isnt changing to white or any other color
