I’m going down for a couple spinal fusions and while I’m out the bikes going under the knife, too. I would love an update on how the 23” has treated you over the last two years of riding!
Beautiful Bike ! I just came across your channel in my feed actually and I'm happy to support your efforts and those of other fellow moto content creators. I look forward to seeing and hearing more from you in the future, keep up the great work and ride safe out there.
Been riding bikes since I was 3 yrs old , started with the plastic ones you push with your feet 🦶 then gradually went to the peddle ones, now got me a Dyna and Road King 👑
Nice , I jus did my bars , 18’s bout to do my wheels now. I was going 21. But after reading these comments, ima go 23. Word for word from what I read lol
Hi. Did you have to add spacers to raise the fender? I also noticed that you changed the front light bars, was that for clearance so that the fender would bottom out on it?
If you don't mind where did you get your front fender I have a 16 I'm looking at putting a 23 on and would love to put that fender on the front thank you sir have a great day
Sharp! One question what is the purpose of the amber lights? Or just a different look. I know from years gone by we had accessory lights amber color for fog they said it cut the fog better. Anyway very sharp!
If you're talking about the fender risers you can get them in eBay or Google Harley fender risers and it'll show you more places where you can get them
beautiful bike, Jasmine! Curious where you got your front recessed blinkers? The only style I can find that matches the stock base is by Drag Specialties but it doesn't have the 'hood' on top like yours. Thank you!
I have a 03 Fat Boy. Candy Brandywine with Ghost Pattern Flames. I have steel solid wheels, I wont Twisted Spokes with White walls. Everyone keep telling me unless I get fat spokes they are a pain in the ass because you have to tighten them all the time.
Jasmine, I picked up the dual disk 48 Spoke Ultra 23" wheel and the 130-50-23 tire. Did you have to raise the fender any? If so, did you use some fender risers? I am having difficulty in finding fender risers for a 2007 Road King Classic. Found them for the 2014 and up models. Thanks Dante'
The front is lowered 2 inches with progressive lowering springs which are stiffer than stock.I also added heavy duty fork oil to make the suspension even more stiffer as an extra preventitive measure to avoid any bottoming out or clearance issues.
Matt Jefferis it has a matching wheel on the back and yes the bags completely covers the wheel so you don't really need to have a matching wheel on the back if you want to save some money
Matt Jefferis bags are 4 inch stretched and the bike is lowered 2 inches on the front and 3 inches plus on the back... I say plus because it has 3 inch lowering brackets plus 1 inch shorter shocks, the bike is not set up for two up riding.
the 21" wheel is laying around in my garage and no the 23" wheel don't fit inside the stock fender unless you modify it so that you can raise it a little to give you enough clearance to let the wheel spin without rubbing which was what I did. Also I'm using a low profile tire 130/50/23 which the outer diameter of that tire it's only slightly larger than that of a 21 inch tire. If I was to use the taller 120/70/23 then I would've definitely had to buy an aftermarket fender or get the fender risers.
@@jasmineaguilar7671 i am considering 23" mammoth 52 on my 2016 Road king, do you think 130/60/23 tier will fit the stock fender with modifications ,thank you
@@mohamadzaza5194 yes you can use stock fender but have to get fender risers. they're brackets that lift your fender up to make room for the bigger wheel
They make them for your bike also just look them up in ebay or google them. A lot of shops out there just want you to take the expensive route to make more money from you. I actually slotted the mounting holes on the fender with a grinder to raise up the fender. I did it this way cause at the time when I wanted to put a 23 on my bike the risers weren't available yet. The problem with that is that if you don't know what you're doing you risk the chance of ruining the fender and also you gotta stick to running a low profile 23 tire cause a regular won't fit. I run a vee rubber 130 50 23 tire on my bike is the only one I can fit.
U will probably need a rake kit and to mount your fender higher there may be more things u have to do but im not sure the rake kit is bolt on by the way
better than stock because of the passing lamps on the engine guard which I always turn on at night. If I don't turn them on visibility wouldn't be too good because of the modifications I've done to the headlight which dims the lighting a bit.
Ed Dominguez yes I had to modify the fender if you scroll down the comment section you'll get to the part where I explain what I did to it btw a 21 inch wheel should fit without any clearance issues
how you do it with the stock fender? I'm trying to do this ad well and everyone says you need a triple. just wondering what other parts you need or labor to get it done.
I modified the mounting holes on the fender to raise it a bit cause if not the wheel won't fit. if you go with a taller tire 120-70-23 you're gonna have to get an aftermarket fender for a 23 wheel. btw the tire on the wheel is a vee rubber 130-50-23.
yes, there is very little room to play with on the stock fender mounting holes... if you got the cash just get an aftermarket fender and you don't have to worry about tire size since those fenders are made to fit any 23 tire. even with an aftermarket fender you don't need to rake the bike.
Ultima king spoke... I had to put a tube in it cause it was leaking through one of the spokes, I had to do the same to the 21 that was on it which was a DNA mammoth.
took out the original license plate mount off the grab bar and then drilled two holes on the fender and bolted the license plate mount on to the fender

I must say it looks great one of my favorite
I love it. That’s how I want mine except not to high for me on the ape hangers. Love the front tire size and tru dual exhaust.
Looks great Jasmine. I like the front fender without the rail and the saddlebags without the chrome side guards.

Did you have to change the rake to get to get the 23 to fit
Did you notice any worse difference in braking when just having 1 rotor versus 2?
Hi. Did you have to add spacers to raise the fender? I also noticed that you changed the front light bars, was that for clearance so that the fender would bottom out on it?
Your video comments were much appreciated, thx!
no problem
I have questions. Did you have to add fender risers? Did you have to change the rake on the front forks?
Is the front wheel finder stock?
this bike is perfection.
What brand wheel? Also, did you change the rake?
Who makes the kit? I want one!
If you don't mind where did you get your front fender I have a 16 I'm looking at putting a 23 on and would love to put that fender on the front thank you sir have a great day
It's a modified stock fender but you can get fender risers to fit a 23 wheel on a stock fender
Super nice is that a low profile front tire

Nice ride bud, ?? Do you happen to have a link for the aftermarket fender you spoke of in the previous comments? Thanks in advance.
Fenders are stock the front fender I modified myself to clear the 23 wheel

not to ask a stupid question but what about the tire size in the back is it only one size for all road kings?

Do u have a rake
did you have to change the fender for the 23" wheel and the rake or did you leave it stock
Did you have to get different fenders or Forks to add a 23 inch wheel??

If I go with a 23 fender do I still need to use risers?
What size of tire in the back
Did you ever change your trees? I just put a 23’ on mine and at 50 it has a bad wobble
dip c2c stock trees and no I don't have any issues with my set up... get your wheel and tire balanced if you haven't done it so far.
adorable bike.
Beautiful bike. Did you rake your forks?
Hi Jasmine, Where did you find the chrome fillers between the extended bags from? Great looking ride!
kuryakyn filler panels

Dante Hawkins that can't be a 23. A 23 will not fit with a harley stock fender
What year of this bike
ok thank u verymuch i appreciate it
How much did you lower the front? Does your Fender hit the crash bar or the bottom Triple Tree on bumps for turning?
The front is lowered 2 inches with progressive lowering springs which are stiffer than stock.I also added heavy duty fork oil to make the suspension even more stiffer as an extra preventitive measure to avoid any bottoming out or clearance issues.
Did you cut and rake neck or just change triple tree to 6-9 degrees ?
Wow man great work on this bike! How much was it to get the frame chrome like that? It’s gorgeous !!
Those are chrome covers you can buy for the frame.
does your bags cover the back wheel up or does it match your front wheel so it doesn't matter thanks
Matt Jefferis it has a matching wheel on the back and yes the bags completely covers the wheel so you don't really need to have a matching wheel on the back if you want to save some money

stock triple trees

yellow headlight spray paint. I bought it in ebay
What weight of fork oil did you use to stiffen up the forks?
What size bars are those and who makes them?
i have the same bike. was wondering how you fit your 23 on and if theres anything special i need to do other than getting a low profile tire
The tire size 130/60/23 shinko ?
What size tires are you running in the rear
hay homie what modifications did u did to ur front fender
How is the rim holding up?? I wanna get one but I hear mixed reviews about that rim brand. And I dont have the cash for the ride Wright brand.
the wheel had a leak so I had to put a tube in but thats it it's still holding up good
