    The funny thing is that Ice Cube really didn't have to use trickery of the NWA brand to get his own name because if a person new NWA at that time the automatically knew Ice Cube too. When Ice Cube came out I knew exactly who he was but I didn't think he could do it because of his gruffy like voice but as it turns out it was a brilliant move on Ice Cubes part.

      didn't think he could do it? he easily had the best flow and voice out of the group. that's why he was instantly successful as solo artist. I freaked the fawk out when I found out his record was out. next best was Eazy.

    Thanks for letting me on this story. Because that floated ice cube used a week it was strictly against his regular flow and it kind of caught me off guard and made me wonder. What you should do is ice cube and Cypresshill beef because the beef was similar to ice cube jacking something from Cypress Hill.

    It's not surprising at all that Ice Cube was stealing raps. He was doing the same shit to Cypress Hill. B-Real said he was letting Ice Cube listen to a few songs but it turns out Cube stole one and used some of the lyrics for his own songs so the King Sun situation is definitely believable and I think it's true

    • @paidenthusiast

      matt patterskn The lyrics. Cube took the hook from Cypress Hill's " Throw Your Set In The Air " and changed some words around and rapped it a little differently. His song was called " Friday " but the chorus was.......
      " Oh yeah throw your neighborhood in the air if you don't care. "
      Cypress Hill's hook was.......
      " Throw your set in the air, wave it around like you just don't care. "
      Cube also stole some of their slang words like " Killifornia " and " Los Scandalous "

      V78thgz Easy- Ice Cube was working on the Friday soundtrack. He was down w Cypress Hill, who were about to drop the follow up to Black Sunday. Muggs had Cube to the studio to listen to some cuts. Cube really really really liked 'Throw Your Set in the Air' and wanted to put it on the Friday soundtrack. Muggs was like nah man- that's our lead single for the new album. Fast forward to the Friday song where Cube's chorus was "throw your neighborhood in the air.. if you don't care." Cypress Hill was livid, thinking that he jacked their chorus. That's why they came hard on No Rest For the Wicked.

If you go back and listen to "Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy" you can clearly head Chuck D'ish kind of beats. Also we all know The Bomb Squad produced that album. Not shocked by Del wrote wicked for cube cause one they're cousins and two I'm good wit both MC'S plus it's layered out for del to hop on. Too bad he didn't though, ATL & lench mob fight is some crew wreckage. Lastly, collab on concept wit king Sun also has some good just misunderstood!

    The west side is the best side, but his first solo album was recorded and produced on the east coast? WTF

    • @3alarm247
      @3alarm247 9 років тому

      Actually I was Kidding when I said that. I found it ironic how Cube would yell "The West Side Is The Best Side" when clearly he got his start as a solo artist on the east coast with east coast producers.

      +caspian kanai bombs quad produced seven of the 14 songs on americas most, the rest was done by tbone,sir jinx,dj pooh..,terminator x was lightly involve..saddler brothers were the core of the then hit making bombsqaud. it was what a true student of hiphop was supposed to do. I'm glad he was able to go to new York and grasp the concept of hiphop production.. it made him complete as an artist and a taylor of his own sound..
